You would be hard pressed to see such a wide variety of clientele at any other fast food joint in LA.

Nearly all found Oki-Dog through inebriated hunger or a dare.

Oki-Dog is one of those unique, stand-alone fast food joints that has never expanded beyond the one original store (to my best knowledge), and will be sorely missed when it finally closes.

When I was a kid, there was a place called “The House of Burgers” on 94th and Avalon, right down the street from my grandparent’s home.

They had some of the tastiest burgers I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying. They were unlike anyone else’s. Sadly, it was a Mom & Pop shop, and when they retired, they sold it to someone else, who promptly changed the winning formulas and recipes. It died soon after.
