A few weeks ago the executives who run basic cable’s Comedy Central gave in to pressure from Muslim groups and chose to edit an episode of South Park which depicted the Prophet Muhammad dressed in a bear suit. The name “Muhammad” was “bleeped” from the program after Muslims protested that it was demeaning to the prophet. Now those same executives at Comedy Central have announced a brand new animated series in development for its fall schedule called “JC” about Jesus Christ living in New York City, attempting to escape the shadow of his “the shadow of his powerful, apathetic father who is preoccupied with video games.”
