Congressman Robert K. "B-1 Bob" Dornan Endorses Joe Tatner for Congress!
Joseph Tatner, Las Vegas

Posted on 05/30/2010 3:02:29 PM PDT by JosephTatner

When it comes to conservative representatives, few can claim to be to the right of former congressman Robert K. Dornan, also known as “B-1 Bob” for his unswerving shepherding of the B-1 bomber and other military modernization programs. The often-bombastic former California Congressman has never been shy about his conservative views, much to the dismay of President Bill Clinton, whom Dornan challenged on a constant basis. Nor has Dornan been quiet in the condemnation of his own party when they waffled on issues or seemed too eager to deal with Democrats. B-1 Bob’s 18 years in Congress came to a final end in 1997. Despite proven voter fraud with more than enough disputed votes to have given him the election, the Party refused to mount a challenge in an era when such challenges were considered too unseemly for Republican taste.

Congressman Dornan now has laid his conservative mantle squarely on the shoulders of Congressional District 1 candidate Joseph Tatner, who is similarly known for passionate speeches and commitment to the Constitution. In a recent phone call typical of the Congressman (who was never known for subtlety), Bob told Joseph, “I’m going to send you an endorsement letter on gold leaf stationary, but don’t wait for it. You tell everyone that Bob Dornan enthusiastically supports Joseph Tatner for Congress!” Dornan went on to pledge his willingness to campaign alongside Tatner “in late June or early July” if Joseph wins the primary. The endorsement comes on the heels of other recent endorsements from two TEA Party groups due to Joe’s strong TEA Party roots.

In a political era where Republicans are rediscovering their conservative roots and every candidate is scrambling to identify themselves as the next Rush Limbaugh, the endorsement is certainly timely and a powerful boost to Tatner’s campaign, which has been gaining strong momentum ever since he won the Heidi Harris/KDWN Great GOP Debate with nearly 60% of the vote in a three-way CD-1 debate. He also received a standing ovation from the huge crowd at the TEA Party in Searchlight. The endorsement is not surprising however, given that Tatner has worked on Bob Dornan’s campaign in the past.

In many ways, Tatner and Dornan are very much alike. Both are Pro-Life Irish Catholics, both are strong on defense, and both are known for passionate speeches. Both were in the United States Air Force and both have a strong background in the entertainment industry on television and radio. “I learned a lot from, Bob,” Tatner explains. “Most importantly, I learned that you can retain your integrity even in Washington, DC. I’ve said many times that I worked on Bob’s campaign, but I haven’t been able to reach him for two months because he was out of town. Obviously, I’m thrilled to have the endorsement of such a conservative icon. I couldn’t have timed this any better if I had planned it.”

Tatner is relying on his motivational speaking ability and conservative credentials to win a chance at taking on 12-year incumbent Shelley Berkley in November. One of the only military veterans in an 8-way race, Joseph has a BA in Communications (calling himself “the Republican version of James Carville”), an MA in National Security Studies and a thesis in Antiterrorism. He also worked as a Legislative Analyst and Press Liaison in Washington, DC.

As a Business Systems Analyst, Tatner was one of the top consultants in America working for Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries, including the Las Vegas Valley Water District, Union Bank of California, Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric, Baxter Pharmaceuticals, Dresdner RCM Investment Group, and was sent to three different countries by Shell Oil. He even trained doctors and nurses on a computerized medical order entry system at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was the Communications Strategist for Kaiser Permanente throughout the State of California. “I know how to diversify our economy because I’ve worked in nearly every major field of the economy,” he explains, referring to his well-rounded background.

No one knows who will win on June 8th, but Joseph “Joe” Tatner seems well positioned with the momentum clearly building on his side. As Tatner says repeatedly, “Vote for Joe!” Clearly, Congressman Robert K. Dornan agrees.

I met B-1 Bob once. He was bagging a ride out to an aircraft carrier and was getting suited up when I walked into the rigger's shop. My buddy and I saw the mass of VIPs and turned to make a hasty exit when he called out to stop us.

He said he wanted to meet us, shake our hands, and make sure that we knew how proud he was of the work we did. He seemed very gracious to everybody in uniform, no matter what their rank was.

I always liked him. Hated to see him lose, esp. in a questionable race.
He is an encyclopedia of American military history.

What’s B-1 been up to? Seems he fell off the radar after he refused to give W a hearty endorsement.

Loved what he has to say about McCain!

It’s OK.
Helps to dispel rumors that I’m actually an automated posting service set to “contrary” and “offensive”.

It only seems “contrary” and “offensive” the first time or two. After that, it’s soothing, knowing that all is right with the world.

Bob has never been shy about his conservative values. I am honored that he promises to campaign with me in the general election. No one running against Berkley has ever had that kind of firepower support with national connections.

I was with Bob in Garden Grove, CA the night he “lost” to Loretta Sanchez. Despite clear, proven voter fraud where illegal aliens were bussed into friendly Democrat voting places and more than 800 proven fraudulent votes (more than enough to give Bob the election), the Republican Party did NOTHING to challenge the election because they were too afraid of what people might say. I learned then to stand for the PEOPLE and not blindly trust our Party “leaders.”

Thanks for the kind words of support. Early voting is going on now and the primary is officially on June 8th. Please tell all your friends in the area to “Vote for Joe”!

The Republicans did try to do something about Bob's stolen election. I remember the hearings on C-SPAN. The Democrats blocked every move the Republicans made and they couldn't get the press to take any interest, obviously. The Mexican guy who organized the voter fraud out of his phony civil rights office was arrested, but Dornan's district got re-drawn and that was that. A heartbreak.

In many ways, Tatner and Dornan are very much alike.

Except Bob had Jack Haley for an uncle. ;) (One of my very favorite pieces of anecdotal info on him, I always loved it when during one of his Special Orders he'd mention Uncle Jack and go on to tell another Old Hollywood story). B-1 never bombs ... unless he intends it and then it's "Look out below!!"

Much luck to you, Mr. Tatner -- in your corner pulling for you all the way!
