DALLAS Dramatic video of an 18-wheeler as it careened out of control on the Dallas North Tollway. The images, provided by a North Texas Tollway Authority traffic camera, show the Pepsi truck driving in the southbound lanes at Beltline Road Wednesday afternoon when a car apparently cut it off. The truck driver over-corrected and crossed the concrete median barrier, ending up on its side sliding in the northbound lanes. Before it was over, six other vehicles were involved in the wreck, but somehow there were no serious injuries....

I say give the Volvo driver a gold medal. That was some fancy maneuver.
Looks like the silver car in the next lane caused this. Then on the other side of the highway I don’t see the black car that the truck fell over on any more.
I thought I saw the Obama logo on the truck at first. Actually, it might be a Pepsi truck, since they changed their logo to look more like 000bama’s.

No reason for Freepers to go to the blog.
Why do you use Free Republic to send people to your blog that has no original content?
Why not just post the direct link here?
Or are you just a Blog Pimp?
Thanks FRiend.
Seems like the driver of the car fell asleep.
good catch. looks like a sleeping driver.
Thats the way it looks to me, at about :17, the car is actually moving towards the right lane, then cuts back into the corner of the right front fender of the truck, not too dissimilar to a classic ‘PIT’ maneuver used by the police to stop fleeing vehicles.
If you look at the angle of the silver car, it appears that the car’s angle is too severe to be something normal, i.e., a lane change. Either fell asleep or drunk.
Yep, a few people needed to wash a few things out when they finally got home...
You are quite welcome.
“You are a blog pimp using FR as a business platform.”
Jim Robinson disagrees with you concerning the content and linking of the MANY bloggers who post here (including myself)....and that’s good enough for me!
We’ll call that a “lose” for you!
You detract when you short circuit this process and question the viability of the blogs linked. The moderators will remove questionable posts so let them do their job!
Place your cursor over the timer bar as it moves along as the video is playing. Click and hold the mouse and then move to the 25, 26, 27, and 28 time frames. Keeping holding the mouse click down so the frames don’t move by themselves.
It appears to me the silver car drifts over and clips the 18 wheeler about the drive wheel area, heads toward the right, corrects back to the left and then clips the front of the 18 wheeler. It doesn’t appear that the 18 wheeler moved out of his lane until thing got nasty after the initial bump.
You keep invoking Jim. Perhaps you should ping him and ask him directly.
You detract when you short circuit this process
I only short-circuit the blog hit process. Sorry if that's a problem for you.
The moderators will remove questionable posts
Yes. All of mine seem intact. Hmmmm.
While it is perfectly “legal” for you to post teasers
and then divert traffic to your blog to view the content,
it is equally as “legal” for me to post the link to whatever
video you have “borrowed” and embedded on your blog.
Sorry, Charlie.
Maybe you could stop pimping and I’d quit jacking with you.
Just a thought.
Classic truck accident. That car hit him on the right steering tire and shoved the wheels hard over. It looked like one of those cars going to other direction barely escaped being squashed like a bug...
Exactly. I think the car driver was annoyed with the truck and wanted to cut it off but actually hit it and ran it off the road.
If I was in one of those oncoming cars I would still be shaking. That was some really good driving.
OMG, what a nightmare. Had something similar happen up here in Madison Heights, Michigan when a speeding car ran a gasoline tanker into a bridge abutment. The fire melted the bridge span and it collapsed.
Thanks for the youtube link. You are a true FReeper and a true FRiend!
