“the son of Jesse Jackson might back a Republican”

And I have a beautiful bridge that, if you push hard, I might be persuaded to sell you, though she is like my sister, I could not bare to see her beauty go from me. But in these hard times, the right offer might raise my head to look in your beneficient direction, sir.

Mark Kirk: Rated F by the NRA. But so would the Democrat, I'm sure. What matters, from Illinois, is who he would vote to be the Majority Leader. If you want a Michelle Bachmann elected statewide in Illinois, get real.

The Anti-Kirk gang will be all over this, but point of fact is, *someone* is going to win, and Kirk is far better than the alternative.

The only fear is that Alexi gets forced out and someone *ahem* like Jesse Jr. gets the chance to take his place. But he would never be saying anything positive about Kirk if that were likely to happen.

The best thing would be for Jesse Jr. to tell his people not to campaign for Alexi, but not to openly endorse Kirk. I’m not sure that would be a good thing.

This would make sense since Kirk is a scumbag and a stealth Democrat to begin with.

No, he's not "better" than the alternative.
Mark Kirk is pro-partial birth abortion, pro-cap and trade, pro-gun control, and pro-big spending.

I honestly would rather have the Democrat win.

Other than voting for a Republican as Senate leader and defense, there are no differences between Kirk and the Dems. He is to the left of Scott Brown.

He may not be better than the alternative on an individual basis, but moving the GOP one seat closer to regaining control of the Senate is better than not doing so.

I’ll take every seat the GOP can get. RAT control of the Senate is a disaster. It has the potential to give us a Supreme Court that will destroy the country for decades.

*IL Politics Ping*

This is why it is imperative the ultraliberal Combiner Kirk be defeated this November.

I agree that Rep. Kirk should lose. Eric Wallace told me that he might run, as an independent. If he does, I hope that he’ll win. He thinks that many conservatives would vote for him, because he’s conservative, and that many Blacks would vote for him, because he’s black.

I don't care about "retaking control" of the Senate.
I demand principled conservative Republicans, and I will not support those like Kirk who is more liberal than most Democrats.

Kirk is a RINO.

Kirk is a flaming socialist. Control of the Senate means nothing when you have someone like Kirk who will work with Democrats and defeat conservative initiatives.

>> What matters, from Illinois, is who he would vote to be the Majority Leader. <<

Whichever party offers him the biggest bribe to caucus with them, obviously. RINOs only care about advancing their own career in Washington.(see Jim Jeffords for an example)

"Kirk's the one!!"

Hey gang, Chicago machine politician and "Senate candidate No. #5" on Blago's short list is thinking about endorsing the so-called "thoughtful Republican reformer" Mark Kirk.

And Kirk the "reformer" would welcome such an endorsement! I smell liberal all over this guy! Let's find out who Kirk REALLY is!!

((pulls off Kirk's mask))

HOLY COW!! It's Dede Scozzafava, last year's failed socialist Democrat plant! And now she's even more liberal than before!!!

"That's right! And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling conservatives freepers and your damn dog!!"

Scooby dobby dooooooooo!

You definitely made me laugh out loud.

But the reality of the situation makes me want to weep.
