Pack it in — pack it out.
Good concept. However, a lot of people won’t do it.
>>Did they fire them or are they still on the payroll.
Not as far as we’ve been told.
Of course the piggies in the farmhouse are screaming “Talent is leaving the city in droves”.
Good riddence to them... if true.
[The politicians need to cut somewhere else. Their salaries for instance.]
In Colorado Springs, it’s not politician salaries that are the problem - but the unelected Developer cabal that has had a stranglehold on the city for many, many years.
Little Chicago / Little London... are the city nicknames.
>>Wow! Its rare to see someone using PBase for photo hosting.
It works. It’s reasonably inexpensive and reliable... and I’m too cheap/lazy to set up a server and host it myself... which I would do if I were going to do photography as a business again.
>>a lot of people wont do it.
Dirty baby diapers on Southern California beaches certainly attest to that.
Even before the Trash Can drama, some folks here actually bagged their dogpoop... and then left it on the trails for somebody else to pick up.... in the bag.
It is what it is... but it’s especially annoying when one of those little dung bombs/mines is ridden over while mountain biking.
I use PBase too. It’s just so unusual to click on a pic and have it go there. And, yes, it is cheap.
Ever wonder why every state, city, town, etc. has laws for cleaning up dog poop but when a horse goes by and leaves a pile no one complains?
My step-son lives in Colorado Springs and says many of their services have been cut or eliminated- says it is very dark at night due to few street lights.
“I do not see any problem with expecting people to pick up their own messes and clean up after themselves.”
You would be amazed at the number of ‘special’ people who refuse to pick up their dog’s poop. Add to that the number of ‘immigrants’ who just leave their garbage in the park. When you confront them they get irate.
The Developer Cabal should be a little short on cash these days- and pretty busy trying to just stay afloat. Now is the time to get rid of them, attack them while they are weak and take back your city.
I’ve been working on a small earth moving device that I think would allow them, and all city governments, in fact, to cut their public maintenance manpower costs by at least 60%. They could easily replace 3 of every 5 workers with this one device, at a one time, up front cost of about $250. It is a shovel that will stand upright by itself, thus eliminating the need for all those extra hands around the worksite. I could use a little help in selling the idea and am willing to offer franchises to anyone who can front me enough to hire a good grant writer.
Hell with picking up dog poop. I don’t do that. I figure if you live someplace where there’s not enough nature to handle a little dog crap then you shouldn’t have a dog.
My dog would lift it’s leg on that sign.
I've always had that expectation just as I've always expected our laws to put an end to random violence, robberies, murders......etc, etc.....
Here's and idea tho. If poop is a problem, just as throwaway beer cans and bottles were a litter problem until there was a deposit placed on them, offer a per pound payment of all poops gathered up and brought to a certified poop reimbursement center..........
There is an employee at my local Meijer shopping center who advertises on his truck that he will do doggie poop duty at your house for $8 per week.........
Yes isnt it terrible, we all know how hard it is to find good grass waterers and garbage can emptiers.
While I generally think cops should be going after hardened criminals, there is something bad about leaving parkland trashed. It'd be nice if a cop saw such behavior and dispensed some justice.
It makes me wonder how much the signs cost, how much they paid for someone to put them up and who paid for it LOL.
“I figure if you live someplace where theres not enough nature to handle a little dog crap then you shouldnt have a dog.”
So how many acres should a person have before he’s allowed to own a dog?
