He said that the ad agency screwed up, it was supposed to be a 2 page spread, the second page showed a bunch of people on the beach, who the guy with binoculars was looking at. That either is impossible or points at the error very early in the making of the ad (and then it's not physically possible to redo it in one day.) The ad is perfectly composed, with text blocks exactly where you'd expect them to be, and the binoculars are pointed at the reader. How could anyone change the scene? It's not a 3D hologram, after all. IMO, this ad is a finished product.
