Obama – There Is Just Too Much Media Out There…It’s Ruining Our Democracy

"And my ability to control the misinformation."

Waaaa Waaaa Waaaa

Imagine if Bush had said this:

"Meanwhile, you're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't rank all that high on the truth meter. With iPods and iPads; Xboxes and PlayStations; information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment. All of this is not only putting new pressures on you; it is putting new pressures on our country and on our democracy."

What he's crying about is the fact that he and his cohorts haven't been as successful as hoped in controlling the flow of information, and how we...his minions...should interpret that information.

That’s why he should be given the fight of his life on this matter.

Mr. Obama has sure changed his tune since the campaign.

On the campaign trail did he not promise to use the new technological advances in the internet to publish any bill so the people could comment on it BEFORE it was signed?

Not only has he failed to do that which he promised, now he seems to have problems with any commentary at all on his work or that of congress.

ObaMao does not like the free flow of ideas. He only likes controlled expression, and that only if he controls it. Freedom terrifies the likes of ObaMao.

Sony’s PlayStation is ‘poison’ to children: Chavez
Yahoo News ^ | 1-17-10

Posted on Monday, January 18, 2010 11:51:53 AM by Snickering Hound

CARACAS (AFP) – Sony’s PlayStation video game console is “poison” and leads children down the capitalist “road to hell,” Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said.

Chavez, in his weekly radio-TV show “Alo Presidente,” called on Venezuelan manufacturers to make “educational” toys and dolls with indigenous peoples’ features to replace capitalistic counterparts like the Barbie doll that “have nothing to do with our culture.”

In expanding on his dislike of western toys and games — he already slammed Nintendo for promoting “selfishness, individualism and violence,” Chavez Sunday took on the world’s top selling game console, Sony’s PlayStation.

“Those games they call ‘PlayStation’ are poison. Some games teach you to kill. They once put my face on a game, ‘you’ve got to find Chavez to kill him.’”

The firebrand leftist president said any game that “bomb cities or just throw bombs,” are sold by capitalist countries to sow violence so they can “later sell weapons.”

They “promote the need for cigarettes, drugs and alcohol so they can sell them. That’s capitalism, the road to hell,” he added.

Venezuela, Chavez said, should be making “educational games,” and suggested designing “little indigenous dolls” to sell in place of dolls “like Barbie, that have nothing to do with our culture.”

Venezuelan lawmakers in October passed a law outlawing the sale of “bellicose” games and videogames that can be punished with up to five years imprisonment.

The socialist/communist axis in this country enjoyed a monopoly on the selection, spin, and dissemination of the daily news for decades. Up until the early ‘90s the newsrooms of “big three” networks and the New York Times, completely populated and controlled by socialist Democrats, were the primary sources for everything Americans new about politics and current events. Not anymore!

The leftists have frothed at the mouth during the past 15 years or so as they watched their monopoly disappear with the rise of talk radio, fair-and-balanced cable news, and the internet. In their despair they have floated such things as “the fairness doctrine” and “campaign finance reform”, and even cried like babies over recent Supreme Court rulings that preserved freedom of speech!

Things are starting to look up for decent, taxpaying, traditional American families.

There is no “maybe” about it. The Internet is the greatest threat to the Libsuck agenda currently in existence. However, it’s decentralized nature makes it extremely difficult to control — as the ChiComs have already discovered.

What’s more, the Internet has become essential to business, so they just can’t pull the plug on it — even though they would purely love to at times. To do so would result in total economic chaos worldwide.

http://viralnerd.com/daily/articles/111/the-first-wii-obama-brings-video-games-to-the-white-house

The New York Times reports that the President elect — who even took his campaign to the streets of Burnout Paradise — gifted his daughters, Sasha and Malia, with a Nintendo Wii for Christmas … but the head of the First Family has been playing with it, too. Apparently, Obama has been working on his bowling skills by playing Wii Sports. The President-in-waiting bowled a lowly 37 in the real-life sport while on the campaign trail, but tells the paper that he “performs better in the video game.”
