Shrugging Out Podcast: Episode 17--interview with Tom Baugh, author of Starving the Monkeys

This episode features my interview with Tom Baugh, author of "Starving the Monkeys", the one-book source for the Shrugging Out concept. Tom answers these important questions:

- Who are "the monkeys", and what have they done to deserve starvation?

- What unexpected source of danger from terrorism is in process in America today?

- Why are conventional disaster preparations, such as storing food, not enough?

- What is the true nature of the gun control efforts likely to come as the crisis builds?

- Is secession a viable option for states to escape the federal leviathan?

Listen to the surprising but sensible answers from a unique thinker about the coming crisis.

And be sure to get the book at starvingmonkeypress.com.

Got the book. Man it is a hard read. In more ways than one. Great book!

My copy is heavily bookmarked. I’ve purchased several and given them away. If you can finish it without throwing it against the wall, then... welcome, brother.

Been at it for a couple of months now. I promised myself to reread it as it should be read, with doing all the “exercises”, but at 69 years old, figured I would just speed read it through the first time.

Totally agree—it is not a book for the faint hearted. What he says about the all-but-universally revered Abraham Lincoln, for example, is very hard to get your head around. And the chapter on Religion as pure fraud would cause any number of people to fling it into the nearest incinerator. And yet, and yet—it’s hard to argue against even these “extreme” positions logically.
