Report: Staten Island Ferry on terror hit list

Staten Island’s iconic Ferry may have been in the cross-hairs of Times Square terror suspect Faisal Shahzad.

A hand-drawn map of the ferry — as well as the nearby Bowling Green subway station and the Lexington Avenue lines that serve it — was found on a Metro-North train heading for Connecticut, according to a television report. The map was believed to be the work of Shahzad, who lives in the Nutmeg State.

The ferry’s high-recognition value makes it a tempting target for would-be terrorists. In the aftermath of 9/11, the U.S. Coast Guard began monitoring the threat level, and dogs were employed to sniff for bombs.

We had a crash on that same ferry back in 2003, with 11 dead. That's the funny coincidence here.

Good grief, passengers said it sped up, but according to CNN ‘leaders’ are saying that isn’t correct...and now they are reporting it was a ‘throttle issue’, not a ‘steering’ issue....I smell cover up, ‘damage control’...
