Carl Rove was just on OReily trying to escape blame for he and Ws pathetic incompetence on illegal immigration. I am so sick of these detestable Rinos. He was trying to BLAME eight states for rejecting the BIOMETRIC ID cards. This party really needs a purging. I sometimes wonder if these RINOs are stupid or just as evil as the Demoncrats. It is disgusting and unacceptable! Yes, sure Carl, you freaking genius, Im going to give these federal bureaucrats that kind of license. They have proven to us that they would NEVER abuse us if we were to hand them additional authority and power over ourselves and our right to privacy. Im sick of the way pseudo-conservatives flatter this guy with a term of endearment like the architect. Just because I supported these luke warm, good for nothing socialist Republicans over the Democrat Communists, I can no longer pretend that these jokers did much of anything good for this country. I understand what God meant when he spoke of the likewarm Christians when He said
I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Dont you feel like spewing these people out of your mouth? I know I do. As I wrote at TableOfWisdom.com
I see big-time schism coming by 2012 because we have too many well meaning people in this party who cannot overcome nostalgia and early enchantment with candidates. I remember back in the late 90s how frustrating it became to watch all of these people salivating over George W. Bush . Yes, I voted for him in the general and even campaigned for him but he was the LAST person (except for McCain) that I wanted out of that crop of candidates. This guy was CORONATED by the GOP before 80% of them had ever heard him utter a single word. Thats why people were so surprised when they discovered his communication deficiencies into his Presidency. Lets be honest, ANYONE could have beaten the socially repugnant Al Gore, yet Bush barely pulled that off. But he had a full head of salt and pepper hair, he was a Bush and therefore, a huge percentage of the GOP fell in lock-step. (I think W is a GREAT guy and I hate to point this out but if his name wasnt Bush, he never would have been able to win a slot in an average city commission, much less Governor and President.)
When I say the GOP cannot overcome nostalgia, I can point to many examples. People who call themselves conservatives have forgotten decades of betrayal by Senator John McCain and are actually supporting him against the CONSERVATIVE - J.D. Hayworth. This pathetic inability to reason is a glaring example of how irrational many of us truly are and how we are already reverting back to the days of the RINO establishment running the GOP. Yes, the majority of us had to grudgingly support McCain for President in 2008; but so many just cannot detach themselves from the good old days despite 2008 being far behind us and despite the reprehensible excuse for a campaign McCain put on.
The charade is over people. Just because we had some good times during the campaign doesnt mean that we have to go on making believe that this guy is worthy of our support. McCain made a unique VP selection in conservative Sarah Palin. We were energized by the idea of this women Sarah Barracuda. We thought we had a chance because maybe enough of the deluded, reality TV Americans would be satiated by the narrative of electing the first female Vice President before electing the first black President. (Just to clarify, I was looking forward to having a black President, just not a radical communist and I would have preferred that the first black President to have been a real American). We found a modicum of hope when she made those witty remarks during the GOP convention. We hoped that somehow Sarah Palin could somehow overshadow John McCain and rescue us from the consequences of our national sins manifested in The False Prophet. That obviously didnt happen. Now lets move on.
I am frankly embarrassed to be a life-long Republican when I look at the blind support that so-called conservatives are giving to John McCain over the real conservative in that Arizona Senatorial race. People at those Arizona tea parties were talking the talk pretty well. They made themselves feel better -about themselves- but what they are showing is that they still have not learned a damned thing and perhaps they never will until it is too late. John McCain made his career by betraying conservative values. He fell into a role as Presidential nominee thanks to the conservative vote being split 5 ways. One of the most liberal imposters in our party wins one by default, we plug our noses and pretend he is one of us for a few months and suddenly hes exculpated of everything he and his ilk have done to destroy our country over the past 30 years? Thats all the depth that we have?
Recently a prominent cattle rancher, Robert Krentz of Arizona was murdered on his own ranch by illegal aliens bringing the border issue to the national forefront. Suddenly Fox is interviewing John McCain, on every show they have - so he can get a few cheap sound bites out of it. That is blatantly disgusting. I never heard Fox give J.D. Hayworth a chance to say a damned thing about that on their network. What is going on with all of these so-called conservative pundits at Fox? They are all now a part of the McCain campaign. If you didnt do the research, you wouldnt even know McCain has a primary challenger!
From many states, we have been watching the shame of Arizona John McCain and his cohort, the embarrassment of South Carolina, Lindsey Graham. We have watched them do everything in their power to undermine conservative attempts to do anything conservative, like stopping illegal immigration. Heres a question from a Florida conservative (me) to the GOP in Arizona: Do you people already forget the facts or do you simply not care? On what planet have you McCain supporters been residing during the past decade? John McCain should not be invited on television to pretend to be some kind of maverick who has been fighting to stop illegal immigration. John McCain earned his maverick status by quelling almost every past attempt to PREVENT illegal immigration. John McCain should be APOLOGISING to the family of that dead rancher because McCain bears more culpability for that mans murder than any serving US Senator Democrats included.
Sean Hannity regularly has John McCain on his show and is bowing before him as though he were Mitt Romney. This is Hannitization? No thanks. That reeks of Rupert Murdoch-ization to me. I think what this shows us is that we have had enough stars in politics and in the conservative movement. Thats where I share the fear of Dan Riehl. People need to stop following people and focus on the message. When we put our credence in stars instead of the purity of truth, we allow them to hand-pick RINOs like John McCain. These conservative idols are going to be foisting RINO Mitt Romney on us ad nauseum as soon as the next Presidential candidate kicks into gear. Never mind that he has been on every side of every issue; never mind that his socialized Romneycare plan in Massachusetts is the prototype of Obamacare! His hair is too elegant and his face is too pretty for certain GOP stars to resist.
Dear God, think of the victories we could achieve if people would just think for themselves and not listen to king-makers. I dont care who it is, people will let you down. I will let you down. People can- damage the righteous cause if they try to become the face of truth. There is only one face of truth and He hasnt come back yet. Our founders crafted the pillars of this prosperous nation based upon the fact that man will- let you down. If you base your expectations for the efficacy of this movement on the face of some public persona this movement will fall from the pinnacle of glory to the abyss at the snap of a finger. I have doubts about whether todays conservatives could ever accomplish what our founders did because too many listen to the luke warm establishment. Most would probably side with the crown. How many chances have we had over the years to nominate great men who campaigned on the Fair Tax or flat tax??? Abolish the IRS? No, we are told, those who propose such unthinkable schemes are too extreme and they cant win. Im not campaigning for him here but as an example, Mike Huckabee, rose organically from the bottom tier of candidates to the top tier, initially with no money. He became the first top tier candidate to -campaign on- the fair tax and abolishing the IRS. He was very close to winning the nomination . So-called conservatives were scorning him because even if he got elected, he could never get it done because it wouldnt get enough support These parasites like to show us how knowledgeable they are by sharing such thoughts. How is it EVER going to get done when these losers disseminate that kind of poison? He was shooting up in the polls, even leading the polls in Michigan and Florida after winning Iowa, until an orchestrated campaign at Fox the likes of which I have never seen went into 24/7 high gear.
I had never seen such an organized, blatant campaign of slander at Fox until or since that time. Every show, day and night had the same Romney sycophants regurgitating the identical talking points verbatim. It was like watching NBC News in a way. The malicious attacks started with a Huckabee Christmas commercial featuring a bookshelf that scandalously looked like a cross- over his shoulder. The outcry by the Christian right over Fox News engineering of that slanderfest is exactly- what led to Huckabee later being given a weekend show. They were doing nothing less than placating a significant part of their audience whom they betrayed.
Of course the Fox campaign for Romney failed because thinking- conservatives would not buy that liberal pig no matter how much lipstick Hannity transferred from his lips to Romneys back-side. The end result was John McCain.
How many of us love being subordinated to the United Nations? How many of us love being inculcated with all of this globalist nonsense? How many of us long for the way things were in our childhood when we didnt have to hear about Islamic terrorism every day and about how we need to surrender more of our liberties to protect us from these terrorists? I remember when Patrick Buchannan won the New Hampshire primary back in the 1996 primary election. The media went into panic mode because this isolationist was suddenly a viable candidate. (Dear God what I wouldnt do for some American isolationism right now. How has prostituting ourselves out to communist and Islamic regimes worked out for us?) The day after Pat won that primary, his face was on the cover of every major magazine with the question Too Extreme? pasted across his face. Every hour on every network you heard the poll question is Patrick Buchannan too extreme. The more they repeated it, the more they manufactured the desired result. The manipulated answers became a resounding yes and the pansies of the GOP, the so-called conservatives, backed off and got on board with the sure thing - Bob its his turn Dole.
Sound a lot like 2008? Yes it does.
The larger point I want to make is that we need to stop looking for the next Ronald Reagan to lead us out of Egypt into the promised land. The world has changed. What we call Conservatism is not really conservative; it is truth. It stands on its own and is going viral unabated. Thats why the Chi-coms and the Obama Administration try to control it.) That is how these tea parties started. Weve got a lot of people trying to capitalize on them but the truth is that the person most directly responsible for them isnt even trying to take credit. It was sparked off by a throw away comment by CNBCs Rick Santelli 2 minutes and 16 seconds into this monologue. That is where it started and then Rush picked it up and aired Santellis comments to his 20 million listeners

THE "NEW AMERICAN"
.....<
| We are now one of the largest Spanish-speaking nations in the world. We're a major source of Latin music, journalism and culture. Just go to Miami, or San Antonio, Los Angeles, Chicago or West New York, New Jersey ... and close your eyes and listen. You could just as easily be in Santo Domingo or Santiago, or San Miguel de Allende. For years our nation has debated this change -- some have praised it and others have resented it. By nominating me, my party has made a choice to welcome the new America. Our future cannot be separated from the future of Latin America. As I speak, we are celebrating the success of democracy in Mexico. George Bush from a campaign speech in Miami, August 2000. |
Here is an excerpt of a good critique of that speech:
In equating our intimate historic bonds to our mother country and to Canada with our ties to Mexico, W. shows a staggering ignorance of the civilizational facts of life. The reason we are so close to Britain and Canada is that we share with them a common historical culture, language, literature, and legal system, as well as similar standards of behavior, expectations of public officials, and so on. My Bush Epiphany By Lawrence Auster
Not to be picky, but it’s Karl, with a ‘K’.
He threw Tom Tancredo out of the Whitehouse and called him a trader to his party.
“Trader” or “traitor”?
“...because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.”
.
Don’t waste Christ’s words on these people — they’re not worthy of them. Whether it’s GW, Bush Sr. or the guy in between, they’r all politicians. Get used to it.
The GOP needs cheap labor. It’s obvious the spineless jellyfish have gotten new talking points from the Country Club regime. The GOP will be DEAD as a party in 2 years.
So now Karl Rove is a RINO? Is there anyone who isn’t? I like the term limited to the real thing-Luger, Snow,Collins etc.
In better days it would have been called treason.
That’s why countries like Russia and China will be the ultimate survivors — no PC bullsh*t over there.
Not that I want to live there but it saddens me to see my country in a suicide mode.
I came away with the same feeling. If he's a genius, then I'll take the "stupid" Sarah Palin any day.
Until you convince virtually every person who isn’t Hispanic that closing the border is necessary for our survival, we won’t be able to even make the first step. Forget mass deportations, it ain’t going to happen under any circumstance. The public is the reason why. Public opinion is strongly against it because most people see it as inhumane. Public perception is the problem, not Bush and Rove. I would just love to see our existing immigration law enforced, but politics won’t allow that to happen. Rove and Bush only tried to finesse this thing in order not to lose the Hispanic vote for Republicans for eternity. I don’t agree with it, but without the support of more American citizens, the immigration issue is a real threat to marginalizing Conservatism for a long period of time.
Those of us with long memories remember Karl Rove as the architect of W’s comprehensive amnesty bill effort. It’s really no surprise he still feels the same way today.
He’s smart, but he’s not perfect.
Your post is a bunch of rambling pap.
Bitch/bitch/bitch
Sounds like nothing has pleased you for the last couple of decades.
So who do you think deserves your acceptance? God is not a politician - he’s not running for anything. Short of him, who satisfies you?
I can agree with many of your points but I have a hard time stomaching your bile.
One of the most popular names on the planet in the last decade and you spell his name wrong? Forced to question your literacy.
Maybe it’s just because Karl Rove is just another politician! When you actually realize that fact, then you just may realize how much we the people are “led” by these so called leader.
Politicians are by description deceptive, elusive, sleazy, and most of all corrupt (most of the time). When you understand this, then you can begin to carry on a conversation.
I have loved Karl Rove in the past but have also grown enough to understand that he is a manipulator of opinion (his job). That does not make him evil, but it does make him someone who shouldn’t be taken at his word.
Most politicians are great talkers. That is why they are in politics - not only good money, but a great avenue into corruption. Seems that this profession grabs all that have grand dreams.
To accept Rove’s statements today is to ignore all things that have happened in the last two years. I do NOT think of Rove as a Conservative but as a Politician that will say and do whatever he needs to do to win...
Thanks for catching.
“...The public is the reason why. Public opinion is strongly against it because most people see it as inhumane. Public perception is the problem, not Bush and Rove...”
I don’t nuy that. Why is public perception overwhelmingly in favor of Arizona’s latest bill while the pc traitors in overnment are so vehemently against it? They are giving the people of this nation the one finger salute just like they did with thease bailouts and the nationalization of “healthcare”. They do this because THEY are tyrants and usurpers, NOT because of the PUBLIC.
