"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane proves once again that while the denizens of Hollywood might be good at acting, or singing, or TV and movie making, they most certainly have no clue about history or contemporary politics. They are utterly illiterate about the world around them because of the insular bubble in which they live. In a recent interview reported by Reuters, the insufferable MacFarlane proves himself to be el stupido on the recent Arizona illegal immigrant law.
Now, one isn't necessarily illiterate to oppose the new law essentially forced upon Arizona due to the utter failure of the federal government to properly deal with the illegal immigration problem, a problem that we've suffered under in this country since at least the 1980s. Certainly, there are substantive reasons to be both for and against the new law. Unfortunately for MacFarlane, "substance" isn't in him.

Actually the TV show’s funny, which means he probably doesn’t write most of it. But he does suck, yes.
Sounds as smart as Hillary or Obama.
Agreed! The show actually makes me LOL...and I know when MacFarlane is off base or not...part of just "filtering"...
The liberals oppose the Arizona law, but what to they offer as an alternative?
The show is lame, and all of the jokes are completely interchangable and irrelevant to the plot.
When South Park skewered Family Guy, the writers from the Simpsons sent Parker and Stone flowers and a thank you note.
Whatever.
I like all three. I think they are all funny, and irreverent in their own way. I dont think its a competition.
Actually, I think the libs in charge like the law. It points out the need for Federal action. And what they offer as an alternative, we know as amnesty. And if that initiates a sh*tstorm of protests, fine. These people are in the crisis business.
From what little I've seen lately, it's slipped badly. And with all the publicity about how dumb the creator is, I just can't watch it anymore. Classic case of someone getting 15 min of fame, and automatically assuming that others want to hear opinion, rather than entertainment, come out of their mouth.
Good riddance. I won't miss the show a bit.
