This is a great suggestion! Open border (gates) in NBA - we could use this in a recession ;)

This is the reply I posted at the author’s site:

“Ms. Velinska –

“Thank you for your words about the “Los Suns.” I believe the Suns are pandering to their fan base of Hispanics. By their jersey change, they can profit by selling more “authentic” apparel. Yes, it is sad that it happened. It is even more sad that the major league baseball players association is actually considering “boycotting” home games of the Diamondbacks. Sometimes I wonder what is coming next.

“Thank you for your kind words about the spirit of the NBA. There are a lot of people that don’t see it. They never saw it. I can only imagine the impact it had upon you when you were first exposed in the USSR. I was one of the persons in attendance at last Friday’s Laker v. Thunder game in Oklahoma City. After the game (won by the Lakers with .5 seconds on the clock) the crowd stayed for 20 minutes to give the Thunder a standing, deafening ovation in appreciation of their effort. It is times like that which convinces me that the “magic” is still attainable. I love the spirit of fan support in Oklahoma City. The magic lies within all of us, in doing what is right. The Suns do not have the magic.

“Again, thank you for your words. And, welcome to America.”

I suppose, but the shouldn’t have the Los. They aren’t The Phoenix The Suns, they’re The Phoenix Suns, no “the” appears on their jerseys or logo normally. Actually it was probably the indian casinos (Casino Del Sol) that kept them from the obvious and correct translation.

Thank you for your words!

NBA is increasingly facing their own immigration problem as more and more US college players see their dream crashed, because the league is choosing another foreigner instead of them.

NBA should stick to the basketball, because the immigration fray may come back to bite them.

How many American college kids worked hard just to be left over a cheaper foreign player in the draft?

I will say it. How many Obama voters play for the Suns and why is anyone surprised that democrats back illegal immigrants.

I think it’s going to take longer than just tonight, but this thing is going to grow and Los Losers will find themselves on the outside looking in.

Any business that intentionally offends 50% of its potential customers is doomed. Look at what Hollyweird has done.

What they’re really saying is they are for “Los Illegals”.

Well, I’ll say that, if you saw the ESPN tape of Steve Nash, you can bet Nash voted for Obama, if he’s eligible to vote in US elections(hell, he probably voted even if he’s ineligible, he’s a liberal). He’s a far lefty Canuck, and I’ve seen him interviewed before-he’s a kook, a freak. Stevie, boy, go back to Canada and quit knocking the country of your bread and butter.
