Sarah Palin was the keynote speaker today in Clarkston, MI at the Defending the American Dream Summit put on by Americans For Prosperity, held at Mt. Zion Church. Dr. Dan Benishek was at the summit, and had something to say about the experience.
From a press release about todays event:
Benishek meets Sarah Palin
Dr. Dan Benishek (R Crystal Falls) was invited to attend the Defending the American Dream Summit with Sarah Palin, today in Clarkston, MI. Palin was the keynote speaker at the event, which featured top conservative leadership across the state and nation. Governor Palin is a common sense conservative who has challenged the status quo and energized a new kind of activist within our party, said Dr. Benishek, Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious.
Benishek has been on the campaign trail, and has a lot of the same outlooks on life as Sarah Palin.
In an interview Sarah did with Human Events, she was asked if she thought she caught a lot of flak from the media because she came from humble beginnings. No, I dont come from the self-proclaimed movers and shakers group and thats fine with me. Its caused me, or rather, allowed me, to work harder and pull myself up by my bootstraps without anyone else helping me. I think it allows me to be in touch with the vast majority of Americans who are in the same position that I am.
Interesting.

She sure does a lot of traveling from coast to coast for someone who is not running for President.
Why not? People are inviting her to speak and many are paying for her expenses, and many are hiring her to speak.
Is there problem with that?
Known as good old American enterprise.
I doubt if Sarah herself knows whether she wants to run for president right now. But she is sure sticking her thumb in the eyes of a lot of our snobbish elite, both right and left.
My entire family loves Sarah Palin.
Mine too. A large extended family, involved in politics at the local level for many, many years. We haven't seen a political figure with so much potential to do so much good for both conservatives and the US since Reagan.
