An almost-empty Quincy, Ill., parking lot serves as evidence that most of the people who came to hear President Obama believe they are entitled to free parking.
I came across the sign after following a squad of riot gear-wearing law enforcement officers as they departed the area near the Oakley Lindsay Civic Center in Quincy, Ill., where President Barack Obama was speaking. Incredibly, they had been called in to face down about 200 completely-peaceful Tea Party activists.
Anyway, I followed them to a location behind a nearby hotel -- where they were out of view of the Tea Party types -- and found the sign and a mostly-empty parking lot next to it.
In this video, I explain that the parking lot is probably almost empty because most of the people who came to listen to President Obama bash Wall Street believed they were entitled to free parking.
Dear Bob,
It's free parking that made America great. These days, the more one has to pay for parking, the more likely one is to be in or near a 'rat stronghold.
I like to espouse the view that people driving their own vehicles is a form of mass transit, and a pretty darn efficient one, too.

Ah, autonomous vehicles.
I just heard a radio ad for MBz vehicles, and they already have low-level auto-pilot features available on some of their models. It was kind of creepy.
