Reminiscent of Chicago's infamous St. Valentine's Day massacre, several armed men lined up eight individuals -- including two minors -- against a wall outside a bar in Juarez, Mexico and opened fire as reported by the Latin American Herald Tribune: "A group of armed men arrived at approximately 4:00 a.m. at the Bar Aristos in downtown Ciudad Juarez, located across the border from El Paso, Texas, grabbed eight men who were drinking, lined them up in front of a wall in the parking lot and shot them, the AG’s office spokesmen said, citing eyewitness accounts." Earth Times reports that "accrding to media reports, the dead were apparently members of the Los Aztecas gang, with ties to the Juarez drug cartel."

Just what the open borders crowd worships; at the altar of LAWLESSNESS.

Ping!

And El Paso is billed as one of the safest cities in the US. It’s amazing that you don’t hear about people being killed by stray gunfire.

That's a start.
Maybe somebody on the "good guy" side is getting serious and playing by the same "rules" as the drug cartels..

Unlikely . . . probably done by the Sinaloa cartel which is the stronger force in the turf war against the Juarez cartel raging just a few miles away from El Paso. The Azteca gang aligned with the Juarez cartel actually is a cross-border gang with a huge presence in El Paso, TX. It’s hard to feel bad watching the bad guys shoot each other up but good, innocent people sometimes are caught in the crossfire, and the bad guys don’t care about the collateral damage and are indiscriminate when they go on their mass shootings.

And their kith and kin will be rioting in our streets on May Day to protest how horrible this country is for not recognizing their Hispanic-Supremacy and letting them use us like pack mules to pay their way, provide them jobs, and give them free health care.

Sick. Of. It.

In 2007, I lived there while my son was deployed to Korea, and was told it is indeed one of the safest cities in the country. It really had a small town feel, and the news casters for all of the 3 major TV stations seemed very down-to-earth and really concerned about what went on in their town. And there were not many reports of violence in El Paso.

But then the cartels in Mexico really started going after each other--and any innocent victims that got in their way--and reports about the shootings in Juarez started to dominate the news. So sad!

I agree about it being sad.

I spent a few months on temporary duty there back in ‘93. Homes around Ft. Bliss had just starting putting up bars on their windows because property crimes were on the rise.

Texas is a "shall issue" concealed handgun state. Many otherwise law abiding folks carry sans permit. It's legal to carry concealed in your vehicle as long as your are going somewhere, anywhere, sans permit.

And of course anything legal to own under federal law, is legal to own in Texas. From little tiny .22, .25, .32 and .380s, to .50 BMG rifles.

The bad guys know us so they leave us alone... mostly.

“coming to a border near you...”

I can’t even imagine what it must be like down there. I spoke to a Columbus, OH officer this morning about the 2008 arrest here of 15 members of MS13...turns out they were actually gang LEADERS and were deported straight to Mexican prisons. Was also told that the ‘reported’ number of 50,000 illegals here in Columbus was really more like 300,000. They’ll be protesting May 1. Counter protesting would probably cause a war.

Yeah, you and me. The elder daughter always asks why I wait up for her. Response is always the same: I love you, and if something happens and I’m not downstairs and uncomfortable, I won’t know about it till the morning.

At this point it doesn’t appear to register, but hey...
