I don’t know about anyone else, but this spectacle scares the daylights out of me. BECAUSE it is so foolish, it demonstrates that crazy has become the norm. From this point forward, everything becomes even more unpredictable. Isn’t this how fascism starts? Or continues, as the case may be?
I know we laugh at the silliness of it, but the ones in power are deadly serious.
You have a point. Normal citizens (”the silent majority”) couldn’t imagine that the doping dipsticks who were spouting counter-culture nonsense would ever be taken seriously enough bring about the changes that we have witnessed through the years.
They have used whatever means necessary to achieve their purposes. I have no doubt that they will continue to do so.
