NBC Nightly News slobbers over Obama's visit to North Carolina, a puff piece from start to finish, would they ever do a report like this if it was George W. Bush? (Video)

Watching NBC, one can only imagine that this is how it would have been for those who got their news from Pravda.
ROFL!
Asheville is a new age hippe homosexual area.
The local media's treatment of the visit makes the NBC coverage look fair and balanced. Also, as mentioned in other posts, Asheville and environs has become haven for wealthy liberal elites. The good mountain folk left the area years ago to find jobs in Charlotte or Atlanta.
“Asheville and environs has become haven for wealthy liberal elites.”
I understand that now. Fortunately I enjoyed it when America was America.
It is now long gone.
Irony: Interstate 240 thru downtown is signed as ‘Billy Graham Expressway’. I’m surprised the progressives have let that stand...(Graham still lives outside of nearby Black Mountain).
What did you expect anything different? You might as well never look at the news. You know it’s NOT real news. It’s exactly as you describe. I’m about to shut off my TV and save myself about $60 a month. I’m sick of looking at all the garbage on TV.
Part of the plan, O needs to start to look more like America or give up his pending legislation and Nov. elections. This reminds me of the election, msm covering whatever angle O needs, hit pieces on the opposition, nice-guy coverage for O, etc.
Waynesville is still traditional.
Though I live outside Nashville we have a family home I inherited that my dad built in 1984 between off Shull’s Mill tween Boone and Grandfather Mt
Peak Prominence is measured by relative elevation rise in feet within a certain radius of peak...
Mountains in NC are 4-7,000 feet lower in altitude but start often from lower base elevation.
Think like when you learn that highest grade rise in world is not Himalayas but Sierra Nevada Colombia near Santa Marta on the Carib coast where it goes from blue Carib sea to 20,000 foot snow peak in 45 miles
I know...TMI
Thank you. You've helped unravel the mystery of why my idiot sister and her lazy bum of a dirty douche water husband moved to Asheville earlier this year. I'm sure they, and he especially, fit in well.
As one of the mountain folk of WNC, I assure you that not all of us were happy about his visit. It was only the star-struck O-Bots that were out in full force to support him. As for me, I headed east to avoid the sickening display of the numb-headed left wing sheep.
More like OCD! lol
You’re probably right, though you might think that height and slope might play into it. Does that make sense?
In any case, it’s still snowing in the Cascades...WHY? It’s almost MAY for goodness sakes!
Dang that global warming! Wish we had some...
