Here is audio of New York Democrat Sen. Chuck Schumer talking to a Jewish radio show - the Nachum Segal Show- where he blasted the Obama Administration's policy toward Israel as "counter-productive," and said it "had to stop."
Schumer said the "kerfuffle" during Biden's visit to Israel over Israeli construction in East Jerusalem "should never have been an issue to begin with" because it was in Israeli territory and only 5 minutes from downtown Jerusalem.
While Schumer said Israel should not have made the announcement while Biden was in Israel, he said Israel apologized for that and that should have been the end of it.
But Hillary Clinton called Netanyahu and "talked tough" to him, and then through a spokesman, they made that public. In fact, Schumer said the spokesman said the U.S.-Israeli "relationship" was dependent on how "negotiations" went. Schumer said that was "terrible," and should never have been said. The U.S.-Israeli relationship is far deeper and stronger than that. he called that statement a "dagger."
Schumer said he called Rahm Emanuel and the White House and told them that if they did not retract that statement by Hillary Clinton's spokesman, "you are going to hear me publicly blast you on this." They retracted the statement.
Schumer said that he and other Jewish members of Congress will soon meet with Obama, and they will tell him "this has to stop." They will push Obama to make it clear to the Palestinians that the U.S. is behind Israel.

With the exception of Lieberman every Jewish Senator chose to toe the progressive party line and ignore Israel. Now that it’s very scary for Israel they’re going to expect the very same ones they’ve been castigating i.e. Repubs, conservtives,evangelicals to pull their chestnuts out of the money.
People like Schumer, Boxer, Levin et. al are the same people who care little about making messes knowing full well that someone else will come along to clean it for them.
The last thing I want to see is American troops fighting for Israel.
I hate to say this, but, I agree with Schumer. But, wait a minute, I thought this was the change they wanted?
I’m sure you are correct.
I’d rather see our troops ( If they have to fight) fighting for Israel than ignoring the fight or fighting against Israel.

Oh please. These are just words. Dollars to donuts that he approached the White house and head of the DNC to get their permission to blast Obama about Israel, promising that he wouldnt go any further than that: words. He has no intention of backing his words with action.

You would, however, have learned more than anybody ever wanted to know about Bristol Palin & Levi Johnston.
I only hope the educated voters, such as the Jews, are learning their lessons about the MSM.
I’m scared witless over Obama’s disgusting treatment of Israel, and I did call Schumer’s office and tell them I was glad he had finally spoken out.
Anyone who thinks good will come from harm to Israel is wrong.

Good question....and the answer is that Obama was the only game in town and he had no choice. Jewish liberals are libs first and Jewish second. I bet he hasn't seen the inside of a synagogue in eons except for political reasons. He is Godless man, if you ask me. Added to that, he is a shmuck. He even looks like a shmuck. Websters should insert a picture of his face next to the definition, that is how much of a shmuck he is.

It really is hard to understand why the American Jewish community supports Obama. But his numbers are dropping, and that may be why Schumer is trying to distance himself from Obama’s policies on Israel.
