O'Reilly Factor Discusses Decision to Dis-Invite Franklin Graham to Speak at Pentagon Event - Video

Here is video from "The O'Reilly Factor" last night, where they discussed the decision by the Pentagon to dis-invite the Rev. Franklin Graham from speaking at a National Day of Prayer event May 6.

Graham has been attacked by some Muslim members of the military for his statements that Islam is a religion that "enslaves" people, particularly women, and that it leads some to commit "evil" acts such as jihad.

During the segment, they announced that the Pentagon has decided to dis-invite Graham from speaking at the event.

This is a travesty. It appears the Pentagon is now taking on the task of reviewing all sermons and statements of ministers to determine whether they are politically correct enough to attend an event. Are they checking out all the statements made by Muslim clerics or Jewish Rabbis? Or is it just Christian evangelists being targeted?

This is a travesty. If only the Pentagon had been so thorough about vetting the presentations and words of Major Nidal Hasan...

Pretty sure Graham has also condemned witchcraft.

That going to prevent Christian speakers from showing up because the Air Force now recognizes it as an official state religion (complete with place of worship and chaplains paid for with taxpayer dollars)?

Islam is a religion that "enslaves" people, particularly women, and that it leads some to commit "evil" acts such as jihad.

And what precisely, is incorrect about those statements?

Never really liked Billy Graham, but Franklin I kike a great deal. I remember seeing him on TV when he originally made those statements. He walked it back somewhat afterwords, but he was sincere at the time that he really believed Islam to be evil. AND HE IS CORRECT.

Inform yourself. You have no idea.

I hope it reflects poorly on the regime with the voters who go to church every week. They can’t seem to stop ticking off the majority of Americans.

It is indeed a travesty. The PC corruption has permeated all aspects of our society....AND there are people who will guard their job status rather than standing up for the truth.

I have emailed OReilly with the following:

Dear Mr. O’Reilly,

Franklin Graham pointed out that Islam treats its women horridly, that its adherents are enslaved, and that it is an evil religion. How dare he? Those things are true of only 90% of Islam; a religion that has never had a single prominent imam condemn the thousands of innocent civilians killed at hundreds of locations to include the World Trade Center.

Surely Graham, who is a mere 10% wrong, should be ignored by all of America that is religiously politically correct.

Sincerely,

Very good point, Dinah. As far as I know, they are not vetting comments made by anyone other than Christian evangelists.

Dr. Franklin Graham's dad, Dr. Billy Graham, prayed with or was a spiritual advisers to all U.S. Presidents from Harry Truman in the 1950's to George W. Bush with the exception of Roman Catholic John Kennedy with whom he was a good friend.

The last thing Obama wants is that this tradition continues with Franklin Graham. The slap in the face to Franklin is to me more proof that Obama is a Muzzie....and that we've seen nothing yet as to what the Usurper will do to the Christian religions' tenets, leaders and practitioners in this country till the moment he leaves office.

Sometimes like corporate executives, I wonder sometimes if the top military brass are out of touch with the rank-n-file people ?

About 10 years ago I worked with a retired Army Colonel. However he was a liberal democrat, treehugger, drove a BMW. One time I overheard him talking that we need to return to having the 55 mph speed limit. I also met his wife who was a school teacher and both of them were from New Jersey. He got his Army Officer commission from the ROTC program at Rutgers.

How is it that EVERY PERSON I know who has actually spent time in the Middle East and have actually SEEN with their own 2 eyes, say same thing as Franklin Graham!

Col. Allen West, been there, done that says the same too!

The military is an interesting mix. I was in the AF for 8 years. Many people I met hated the military, but were absolutely paranoid to cut loose from that secure job. I think they came to be like prison inmates; the future was safe, predictable, and routine, so they would not venture from the cell. Promotions were for the most part based on standardized tests. There was order. So it's not really shocking that you find a large number of state-ist types in the military. The private sector is scary cut-throat capitalism where your job and your company is subject to the ever churning market.
