Here is video of Ann Coulter being asked if she wants Sarah Palin to run for President. Coulter said:

"I do love her, but I think I prefer her doing what she's doing now, at which she's spectacular. She's making a lot of money and she's having a great life. She has - she's giving all this energy to the base of the Republican Party - the Conservative Movement."

Coulter was answering questions after a speech she gave at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

So you don’t think they will do the same to any Republican candidate?

Part of me agrees with Ann. I have to go back to the example Fred Thompson gave us. I loved Fred Thompsons daily radio spots and his Reagan-like style of communicating his wisdom down to his many listeners. I was asking why don't he run for President, long before there was talk of it. And when he did I was doing cartwheels. But for several reasons, some his fault, some not, he did not keep him momentum through the debates and his poll numbers sank. Today you may see him from time to time as a guest on FOX, but that's about it. I would hate to see Palin vanish from the scene in the same way.

But she is a Big Girl, and she can run in 2012 if she wants to. And she will get the nomination if she beats everyone else running. And that is entirely possible, because Palin is a Phenomenon like we have never seen in politics.

People may not like it. They may predict that she can’t do it for this or that reason. But if she does, then God Bless her, and I will be supporting her with every once of energy I can.

Any chance its because Ann is a Romney fan?

I don’t care if she runs or not but...Ann backed Romney so her opinion doesn’t mean much.

I agree with Ann.

Palin should have Steele’s job. That would be a terrific move in the right direction.

We got Presidential polish now and everytime he opens his mouth with his nice smooth fabrications, I cannot help but feel a little slimy. Sarah is “We the People”. I am afraid we are going to screw this up big time and get us a nice smooth talking RINO in there. I don’t care how someone sounds anymore, or whether they can do an interview like a superstar or not. I want MEAT AND POTATOES! Someone who can do the right thing during crunch time and has a BACKBONE. Sarah continues to be attacked by the left which means she is being effective! Captain Janeway for President!

It 2012 or never. What is Sarah suppose to do after the election if she doesn’t run sit on the sidelines and be a cheerleader. I don’t think so but IF and it’s a big if Sarah does this nobody will hear what she has to say because the presidential candidates will crowd out what ever Sarah says.

Sarah is a Leader and NOT a cheerleader.

That’s okay. Just means Palin won’t feel obliged to talk up Coulter in return—which could limit her winning back the moderate soccer moms.

Coulter still prefers Mitt Romney, no doubt.

Ann has no credibility in this area, and her support of Romney at any point in time means she’ll never regain credibility with me in this area. When the times called for conservative, she became a CINO.

For RNC Chair, I nominate Andrew Breitbart. He’s fearless, and would never vascillate like the go-along-to-get-along pansies we’re used to.

Ann Colter usually recommends we vote for Rinos doesn’t she? I can’t figure her out sometimes.

Ann hit the nail on the head. I love Sarah too, but I’d prefer she keep the RNC on the straight and narrow of conservative policies. I’d like to see a greatly experienced, economical genius as POTUS to help straighten this mess out we now have as a country after Obama. With that said, if she is nominated, she will have my complete support unlike Romney, Huckabee, et al.

Agree!
Going to see her 22 May.
Hope to see her in the Senate, representing AK, someday soon.

I like Breitbart at DNC. He knows how to as an old movie once said "smear them with the truth" and that makes them very nervous. I think I'd put Palin at The Dept of Energy or EPA with the task of completely dismantling the agencies. Gingrich to Education with the same task. Coulter I would make press secretary. It would make the press confrences much more interesting.

Wow, it’s amazing how things can change. I suggested this back in Dec., and was lambasted for it right here on FR. Now, look at the support the idea garners. There may be hope, yet.

No candidate will EVER be perfect.

Conservatives need to get off their high horses and accept that our flawed Palin is STILL 10 times better than Obama.

If she runs in 2012 with an economy most likely in shambles, her primary campaign message of creating private sector jobs through energy development(we will be in an energy crisis by then,AGAIN) and absolute tax reform(flat or fair), this nation will elect her in a landslide.

The democrats/left will NEVER vote for her but plenty of indy’s will.

JMO..

and her leadership would be better served as RNC chairman

Oh come on. How many can name 5 of the last 10 RNC chairmen without Googling it? The RNC chair is a path to obscurity. Palin has far more influence and excites the base to a greater extent doing what she's doing than she ever would as RNC chairman.

This from a woman who fawned over Romney and endorsed him. I’ve never been an Ann Coulter fan (though I do agree with her from time to time), but when she and Laura Ingraham started fawning all over Mitt, commenting how handsome he was and implying they’d vote for him based on looks alone, I was deeply disappointed and ashamed of them. Way to prove stereotypes of women voters right!

The left is going to demonize the pick no matter who it is. Might as well chose the one who has the teflon vest AND conservative values/positions.
