Whos Fred Malek and why should you care? Think of him as sort of the Beltway-insider equivalent of John Ziegler. Like Ziegs, hes a Sarahcuda defender par excellence, and like Ziegs, he doesnt think shes angling for a serious shot at the presidency. From a WaPo profile last year describing him as the authority on Palin:

Al,
I don’t think being a member of a Commission is close to equivalent to being Assistant the the President and Deputy Director of OMB under Nixon and an Ambassador, Chairman of the 1988 GOP convention and Bush’s campaign manager. He worked for Nixon and Bush. He sat on an advisory board for Reagan, probably at the urging of Bush or Jim Baker.
The point is that there are many members on a commission, and they are appointed frequently at the behest of someone else, not the President. I doubt if Reagan could have picked Malek out of a lineup. If he had been a movement conservative, as a former Deputy Director of OMB, he would have been considered for a Cabinet post or something important by Reagan. The fact that he was not tells me that he was a Nixon-Bush guy, not a Reagan man.
To tell you the truth, though, he has no business giving SP electoral advice inasmuch as his own electoral track record is abysmal.

LOL. Thats a non-issue now which will have no impact on her future ambitions.
Endorsing a flaming socialist being insignificant to the OP(formerly the GOP) illustrates the very problem with the OP and how the socialists have gained control of the White House and Congress.

Political fossils like Malek, Charlie Black and that idiot Ed Rollins are worthless in today’s political arena.
Sarah had her fill of campaign know-it-all’s in ‘08. When she wants advice, she has the best of all, in her boss, Roger Ailes.

I forgot to mention that in the video, Malek does not even say what he thinks she should be doing. Just that he thinks she is not running.

She planned on endorsing McCain long before he decided to run for re-election, and before there was an opponent in the race. Give it up already. This isn't breaking news.

Ah yes, when all else fails invoke the Saul Alinsky rules for radicals by isolating and attacking a target with personal attacks in order to deflect attention away from the subject at hand. Congratulations! Saul would be proud of you!

The old party over principle concept does nothing to advance the Conservative cause.

I couldn't agree more but what does that have to do with Palin supporting a flaming socialist?

Personal loyalty to the one person who broke her onto the national political picture is not “party over principle”.
If Governor Palin had done anything less than standing tall for even yes, John McCain, one would have to question her authenticity as a human.
She owed him. Debt now repaid in full. As honorable as a John Wayne handshake. And every bit an important.
Fair is fair.

The old party over principle concept does nothing to advance the Conservative cause. Both JD and McNut are in the S-A-M-E party. Obviously, this is not a case of party over principle.

I don’t see you posting to the PaulBots about their support for a pro Marxist Kokesh.

It is when Palin wasn't McAmnesty's first choice. He wanted his fellow flaming socialist buddy Joe LIEberman but that idea was shot down by the powers to be in the OP(formerly the GOP).
If Governor Palin had done anything less than standing tall for even yes, John McCain, one would have to question her authenticity as a human.
More people are questioning her authenticity as a conservative by her continuing support for a flaming socialist.
She owed him. Debt now repaid in full. As honorable as a John Wayne handshake. And every bit an important.
She owed him nothing for the reason stated above. If her debt to him is repaid then why dies she continue to support him?
Fair is fair.
Supporting a flaming socialist is never fair for the Conservative cause.
