Will he do away with our government spending millions on liquor bills and various other foolishness and endangered species ANIMALS while people in America lose jobs?
Will he tell the U.N. to go pound sand?
Will he tighten up America and MOST IMPORTANTLY
DO AWAY WITH POLITICAL CORRECTNESS?
He has my vote!

Keep calling people nuts that don’t tow your exact line of thought you sound idiotic just like the MSM.

I am waiting for your thoughts/ideas instead of name calling.

Isolationism has never been a good idea. I have no issue with most of Mr. Paul’s ideas, except (and it’s too big an exception to ignore) his foreign policy. I wouldn’t even care about that but for the fact that we can’t simply crawl in a hole and pull it in after us. It is, however, my nature to do so, but it’s just not possible.
I favor a flat tax, but I’m told it is regressive. I suppose that’s only because it would require everyone to pay taxes which we’ve been reticent to do.

I like Gingrich...
How could you not? [hint: this is where you lost some credibility]

I would watch the governors. The current budget situation is providing an opportunity for them to prove themselves as cutters of spending. Someone like NJ gov Christie has taken on the unions and is looking to reduce spending significantly. Also, NJ is a high beta state (revenues grow more quickly in recovery and decline more quickly in recession). If the national recovery takes hold, he could see a significant bump. However, 2012 may be too early for a run.

I like Bobby Jindal and Michele Bachmann. We need brains, courage, faith and good strong family values, to topple the current dark administration.

Loaded question...
you see - the kind of person it would take to “win back our nation” is deemed unelectable by the Republican Party (and many here on FR). The capitulators say we have to have a “middle of the road” candidate that has broad appeal. Unfortunately, as has been proven over-and-over - that kind of candidate becomes yet another of our big-government problems.

If the national recovery takes hold, he could see a significant bump. The phrase "the national recovery" assumes the existence of such. I don't see it.

Yep - while Newt has some serious issues - his wack-job view on GloBULL Warming/Climate change makes him someone I could not support for Dog Catcher.
All changes in our temperatures are completely natural (God is firmly in control). Any attempts to “correct” those changes are, as the writer of Proverbs puts it: Vanity.

The problem isn't the election, it's the primary circuit. That's where we get killed.
Last time through we lost all of the good folks (Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson, etc.) on the Conservative end and wound up with turds like McCain, Romney and Huckabee duking it out for the coming 'tard fight. None of them was any good and we had already lost in the primaries.
And dont discount the threat of a third party. Yeah, Id rather see a Tea Party contender in 2012 but if we have T, R and D then the right will be split and Obama will coast to reelection. Just look what happened in 1992 when Clinton ran against a Republican and a right-wing independent (Perot) and won with 43% of the vote! Perot again played the spoiler in 1996 with nearly 10% of the vote and Clinton becoming Americas first two-term minority president with 49.2% of the vote.
Fortunately Nader was nice enough to give us 2000 (and the dimocrats blame it on the SCOTUS! LOL) but thats not the payback we need.
If the right cant unite in 2012 were going to have four more years of Obama, guaranteed.

Bobby Jindhal??? Please..
Can we please talk a bit more about Ron Paul? I think we should at least know everything about his policies. I am a Sarah Palin fans but so not sure she will run - what's the next choice, besides the RINOS - ALL of them?

A LOT can happen between now and the 2012 election cycle. All polls, press and prognastication are just spinning your wheels until the fall of 2011. Let’s concentrate on winning congress THIS YEAR and hold the new guys’ feet to the fire. Re-visit the POTUS issue in about a year and a half.

I am so in sync with you. Governor Christie/Palin team would be great. His term would be over just in time for the election. He is doing great things in NJ that I hope would be done for the entire country. Can you get his ear on this one? Go Christie.

I'll listen to whatever Ron Paul has to say, but Bobby Jindal is my favorite so far, and Michele Bachmann has an amazing calm courage that can only come from Christ. Everybody's got their favorites!!
