The man who is our president:
The man who would have been:
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., slammed the leader of the free world Thursday, calling the remark a "direct contradiction to everything America believes in."

Oh my. The military siphons money from the government that could better be used to prop up the housing market and re-inforce unions. Funny how Obama can get fiscally responsible when it fits his ideology.
Yeah!...And he won’t be thrilled when his ass is thrown out of office either....
The Obama Doctrine
I think of my wife's father running telegraph wire to the frontlines in WWI. Sorry Al. You were too brave for this slander.
I think of my father aboard a mine sweeper in WWII. Sorry Dad, I am actually glad you passed away, because this would be torture to you.
I’m betting the part he doesn’t like, is getting pulled into conflicts that we have no interest in, costing us our troops blood and lots and lots of money...sentiments that I’ve seen expressed almost everywhere, including here on FR.
Well, I "Like it". It's a hell of a lot better than the alternative.
Furthermore, I am honored and humbled to be a citizen of a nation that, thanks to the 'blood, sweat and tears' of countless patriots, managed to transform itself from an obscure, weak, backwater 'colony' to the single greatest force for good which has ever existed on this planet.
Unfortunately, when the PRESIDENT of this nation makes it SO abundantly clear that HE is NOT honored and humbled by America's accomplishments, then I think there are some dark days ahead of us...
I was at the Boston Tea Party yesterday, and this guy came over to me with a video camera and asked if he could talk to me, to which I agreed. He asked me what my stand was, and to explain the meaning of my sign, which I did.
He said “Wouldn’t you rather see money spent on something meaningful rather than wasting it on war in Iraq?” I said that no, I didn’t see the money in Iraq or Afghanistan as wasted, but I did see spending money to nationalize health care as being a huge waste of money. In Iraq and Afghanistan, at least terrorists are being killed and kept from coming over here to kill us and yields some national security benefits, where government run healthcare is a money pit that will provide no return, but will actually degrade what we have now.
We went back and forth in a semi-civil way for a little bit, then he said “wouldn’t you rather see your tax money that you’re so concerned about going to pay for healthcare for your fellow citizens than going to killing kids in Iraq?
When he said that, I held my hand up and said “Sorry. I don’t really want to talk to you anymore.” He started to reiterate his point, and I said (trying to remain civil) “Look, you have a particular viewpoint which I find reprehensible, and you’re not going to change (referring to his “killing kids” comment about our soldiers in Iraq) so I am really not interested in speaking to you anymore. He actually persisted filming me the whole time and kept saying “But, don’t you think...” to the point where I had to square my body off, look straight into his face and tell him decisively “I don’t want to be rude, but I really don’t want to talk to you anymore.” Does he get the hint? No. “But but ” “HEY. I AM NOT INTERESTING IN TALKING WITH YOU.” And so on.
I.
Detest.
Liberals.
You are wrong.
The part he DOESN’T like is the USA being a superpower.
Plain and simple. He believes in moral and cultural relativism, that one country is inherently no better than another, and culture is inherently no more moral than another.
Barack Hussein Obama is one of those people who thinks that if we get rid of nuclear weapons, nobody will have or use them, and if we can’t get rid of them, everyone should have the equal right to possess them.
I guess we disagree then.
But...wait...you CAN’T just disagree...we...we...this...
