Run, Herman, Run! Cain hints at a White House bid at SRLC (VIDEO)

A "dark horse" candidate may emerge for the 2012 presidential race, Cain told Republicans in New Orleans. After giving one of the most energetic and inspiring speeches of the conference, the former Godfather's Pizza CEO returned to the podium for a moment to encourage those in the audience to focus on 2010. But in 2011, he said, a new face may emerge in the presidential race.

I will not rehash Herman Cain's biography here, but you can read about his amazing career here. Please take a look, because it is an amazing story, deserving of attention and slightly more impressive than the resume of our current president. Cain has a track record of humility, common sense, and incredible success brought on by years of hard work. I personally have not been excited, truly excited, to support a political candidate for many years, but I am primed and ready to do my part to see Herman Cain become President of the United States. I can think of no one better to mend our nation's wounds, make the tough decisions necessary to pull us out of our economic doldrums, and help us regain our pride in being Americans once again. Our Republic needs Herman Cain.

Incidentally, if you live in the Atlanta area, Herman will be speaking at the Tea Party event at the Capitol Thursday night. Come ready to be inspired.

In what could prove in time to be an important piece of the 2012 puzzle, Atlanta radio talk show host Herman Cain made a very cryptic statement at the end of his SRLC speech last weekend.

We listen to him every night on WSB Atlanta, and my 6, 4, and 2 year old love to hear Herman say, “If you’re still driving out there... be careful... there... are... some... NUTS... on the road!” The kids laugh with delight every time he does that. Herman is very special.

“Atlanta radio talk show host Herman Cain made a very cryptic statement at the end of his SRLC speech last weekend.”

Yes, I brought this up more than once on Sunday, virtually everything the article writer said. Herman Cain would be a great all-around candidate and future president.

Let me guess...Herman Cain is Black?

And the only chance we have of defeating Obama is if the Republicans run a Black against him! Why don't we "one up" the Democrats by running a Black woman for President! We'll be unstoppable! /sarc

Herman Cain, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell

Why Oh Why weren’t one of these guys our First “Black” President?

(Truth be told .. It is because They don’t distinguish themselves by .. The Color Of Their Skin!)

I understand the sarcasm, but, speaking for myself, my support for Herman Cain has nothing to do with the color of his skin. He is black, but that is not what defines him. He is a conservative... a very passionate conservative who can energize the Republican base. For those who don’t have the opportunity to hear him on a nightly basis, I can understand your skepticism, but the more America gets to know Herman Cain, the more they will love Herman Cain. And if he achieves the nomination, it will be because he has earned it, not because of the color of his skin. We’re speaking about a man who was vice president of Pillsbury and, when assigned to the Burger King division, basically worked himself from the ground up, scrubbing toilets and flipping hamburgers like any other employee would. He knows the value of hard work... he has not been successful because he’s black. He’s been successful because he’s got an amazing work ethic and a highly developed brain. *steps off the soap box*

Wouldn't take me that long to pull the lever for Herman. For once we'd have a truly qualified candidate for POTUS!

Amen... his qualifications are impressive. For those who believe Mitt Romney is qualified because of his business credentials and executive experience, Herman Cain has as much or more. And Herman’s never signed a government takeover of health care into law.

I just heard a blurb saying that Herman Cain is going to be a panelist on Hannity tonight.

I love the idea of Herman. It would be very nice to have an ADULT as the President- how comforting would that be?! He is a great inspiring, entertaining, and educating man.

Unfortunately, since they can't play the race card with him, the media and Dems will go after him as being a misogynist. I mean, he openly told the story of how he got his wife new golf shoes as a Christmas present- the spikes were to keep her from slipping on the ice when she washed his car. Remember, the left has no sense of humor...

But that sense of humor is what would endear him to the common voter, be they Republican, Democrat, or independent. I think people are looking for genuine, and Herman Cain is the real thing. I’ve begun a Facebook group for those looking to support his bid: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=118376518176464

I agree! He is an accomplished and very likable man. His sense of humour would endear him. He is the exact opposite of what we currently have in office. Obama’s humor is mean-spirited while Cain’s is affectionate and self-deprecating.
