The question has been raised about whether or not our president is a socialist, Paul said. I am sure there are some people here who believe it. But in the technical sense, in the economic definition of a what a socialist is, no, hes not a socialist.
Hes a corporatist, Paul continued. And unfortunately we have corporatists inside the Republican party and that means you take care of corporations and corporations take over and run the country.
Paul said examples of President Obamas corporatism were evident in the heath care reform bill he signed into law last month. He said the mandate in the bill put the power over health care in the hands of corporations rather than private citizens. But he said the bill wasnt the only place where corporatism is creeping into Washington.
We see it in the financial institutions, we see it in the military-industrial complex, he said. And now we see it in the medical-industrial complex.

He’s not a Socialist, he’s a Marxist.
An idiot can be right sometimes. Obama is a Stalinist.
Ron Paul is a complete Moron
Corporatism being the economic component of Fascism, or just Fascism minus Nationalism.
And Ron Paul is an imbelcilist.
LOL. Yes he is.
I think it’s a misunderstanding of terms. “Socialism” by definition means that everyone owns everything collectively. I think of Obama as either a fascist (merger of state and corporation) or Marxist (Oligarchal control of everything, accomplished by revolution). I think he’s pushing for a bloody one against the people, FWIW.
I agree, and didn’t even see your post first.
Paul doing spin for socialists.
Read Keynes at Harvard and you’ll see that President Obama is very much the socialist.

WTF?
I think Paul and all of us are playing with words. Obama is a big government, anti-freedom, tyrant. It doesn’t really matter what flavor of tyrant he is.
This is going to be a good thread. Bookmarking.
Hey, Ron.
Your thinking is exactly why this country is going down the drain.
You see, the Left controls the language in this country, which means they control the socio-political arguments and the very thought process of both sides.
Capitalism is based on free markets.
When any enterprise, whether it is a company of 10 or 10,000, abandons their customer to avoid free-market competition and joins up with the government, that is NOT an act of “corporatism.”
And it is not “Crony Capitalism.”
IT IS A FORM OF COLLECTIVISM.
The correct term is “Corporate SOCIALISM.”
You see, Ron, you are playing in to the hands of the Leftists.
Their intent is to malign anything that competes with collectivism, such as free markets and capitalism.
So, whenever companies, corporations, any type of corporation, breaks the rules and the laws or joins with the government, their goal is to paint that as flaw of Capitalism and the free markets, when it is actually the design of collectivism.
Let’s use the truth, and by so doing, let’s take back the language.
These giant entities that are working with the government to obtain monopolies at the expense of not only their customers but the taxpayer as well, are Corporate Socialists.
why people follow this loon is a deep seated mystery.
I think he just wants to muddy the water to keep the media calling.
Yep.
How close does this put Ron Paul to Lyndon LaRouche ?
