After Tiger got caught cheating on his wife with porn stars, pancake waitresses, cocktail waitresses and many others, he disappeared for months and eventually went to rehab for “sex addiction.” He’s back at The Masters and he’s doing quite well for having taken so much time off. But he hit a terrible note during a press conference when he compared his comeback to that of Ben Hogan, one of golf’s legends.
In 1949 Ben Hogan and his wife, Valerie, were driving in their car when a Greyhound bus crossed the center line and hit them head on. Ben threw himself in front of his wife. Chortle! He sure has “won” quite a few from behind outside golf.
Back to your question, yes you are right. He has never won a major from behind in the final round, ever.
He had never lost one from in front in the final round either, until last year, when Y.E. Yang rallied from behind to beat him in the PGA Championship at Hazeltine.
Tiger disgusts me. Hogan’s body was destroyed in that car wreck. He hit a bus head on with his wife. At the last second Hogan threw his body in front of his wife to protect her from the crash. That is honor and one reason why real golfers hold Hogan in the highest regard. Hogan won after his body was destroyed and was in pain for the rest of his life. NO ONE ever did what Hogan did. Tiger has no honor.
If you want a feel good story at The Masters besides Freddie, Tom Watson and electrifiying Phil the family man. Check out 16 year old Matteo Manassero. The kid is incredible and respects the game of golf, the tradition and honor.

Several golf people have commented on the oft-repeated claim that “Tiger inspires more fans to take up golf” - namely that, in fact, the Tiger Support Mob doesn’t play golf, never will, and as soon as Tiger’s gone from the game, they’ll be gone from the galleries.
Yeah, and he won’t get a choice of syrups!
Hogan’s divots had more class and brains than Tiger
Back in Hogan’s era this never would have come out and those in the know back then would have just accepted it.
I don’t understand why people today expect sports idols to be more pure than the general population..
Back in Hogan’s era, people had a little more class and morals.
He is a twisted sick man, with morals of an alley cat, and a potty mouth.
