Allow me to modify my initial observation—Republicans in the “Ruling Class” will always defend a Democrat that is under fire.
It should be a wonderful consolation to those in jail or threatened with jail time that the government didn't really mean it.
I liked Tom Coburn. Tom Coburn WAS one of the few in Congress that I had any respect for. Not anymore.... the man is a complete fool.
I do not give a hoot what he ever says or does again, about anything, he’s toast with me.

What’s up with “Freedom’s Lighthouse?” Why is he gunning for Coburn?
He knocks Fox for being biased and then says he reads two newspapers for balance....The New York Times and The Washington Post (and sometimes the Wall St Journal).
This really speaks volumes for why our Country finds itself in it's current crisis.
If this is supposed to be one of our brightest, most Conservative Republicans, we have no chance.
He will regret those words when things start collapsing around the rats. The GOP needs to decide which side of history they want to be on.

I guess by nice Coburn means Pelosi knows how to use her company manners and not spit or scratch in public. And smiling for the camera while advocating the murder of babies in the womb, yeah thats real nice too.

I disagree. Most that I’ve met are filled with hate and bitterness. They are envious of those better off, and condescending to those who are not.
They use government as an excuse for their own sins. They want government to care for the poor, so that they do not have to. They want government schools because they don’t want to educate their own kids - assuming they didn’t abort them first.

Talking down to the “dummies” (that would be non-liberals) who don’t see the vision of the annointed properly like a freakin’ school marm. The crowd should have booed his nasty, disrespectful self off the stage! Who listens to whom? The elected leader is stuck in gaga land in the Senate and knows nothing outside of his little circle; the peole he’s supposed to represent live life in the State.
I am not surprised to hear him say he reads two newspapers a day; The New York Times and The Washington Post, as if this makes him well informed. Then realizing those are not ‘fair and balanced’ sources to anyone except a Rino in the Senate, he drops in “sometimes the Wall Street Journal.” What an ass. Why did not they boo him when he talked down to them? Who does he think he is!!!!
I’ve known a lot of liberals over the years. I’ve known and worked closely with literally hundreds of Alinsky organizers and thousands of Alinsky activiist volunteers.
They are no more filled with hate and bitterness than conservatives ... or non-political. I’ve known some very hateful conservtives ... and hateful moderates too. I agree that hateful is not “good hearted”.
You say they want government to care for the poor, so that htye do not have to. My experience is that some (but not all) liberals are sincere in their mis-guided desire to have the government play santaclaus. When they take employment as teachers, social workers, religous workers, etc they are truly sincere in their motivation to help people.
This discussion started with Coburn’s comment on Pelosi. Frankly, I don’t know Pelosi and can’t say if she is good hearted or not. But I do know that many liberals are truly sincere ... sincere but mis-guided.
