MSNBC's David Shuster May Be Gone As of Monday
The Lid/Mediabistro ^ | 4/5/10 | The Lid

David Shuster is a Keith Olbermann wannabe who once profiled the Republican Party as ‘all white males with short haircuts.' He then went on to call the party angry and unhinged, with ‘no women, no minorities.' Shuster said the Tea Party health-care protest in Washington was an"orgy of bigotry, racism, antisemitism and hate."

We David one thing you can't say about us is that we are as dumb as David Shuster. After all we didn't cut a pilot for a competing network without telling our boss who pulled us off the air on Friday and who has called us into his office for a more personal meeting tomorrow.

But all that did happen to Shuster, the man who was suspended for accusing Hillary Clinton of "pimping out" her daughter during the 2008 primary season. Mediabistro is reporting that tomorrow may be Shuster's last time in the MSNBC offices

This should disappoint all three of the MSNBC viewers.

Man. When PMSNBC tosses your ass out, there’s no place else to go. Sounds like Shyster may have to resort to writing a “book” if he intends on continuing to buy groceries and paying his monthly cellphone fees.

No. It’s not that Shuster is a raving Moonbat, it’s that he was surreptitiously preparing to jump ship to a competitor. Politics had nothing to do with it.

He’ll probably end up doing guest segments with BOR...

I bet you that he is replaced by a someone who isn’t white. The criticism of MSNBC and its’ all-white lineup stung more than they are letting on.

Shuster’s CNN Dalliance May Bring MSNBC Response

MSNBC executives were highly displeased when they learned about his test for the competing news channel CNN through a New York Observer article Friday morning, and they are now contemplating their response.

“If true, this is unacceptable and David will be punished appropriately,” an MSNBC spokesman, Jeremy Gaines, said Friday afternoon.

Reached for comment, Mr. Shuster referred the call to his agent and said he could not confirm or deny the Observer report.

The Observer said CNN’s “in-house team shot a pilot for a news show featuring David Shuster of MSNBC and Michel Martin of NPR as co-anchors.”

Mr. Shuster is under contract to MSNBC, raising questions about the appropriateness of the CNN pilot. Two people with knowledge of Mr. Shuster’s contract said it is set to expire at the end of this year. They requested anonymity because Mr. Shuster and MSNBC would not comment on the contract’s length.

CNN Films Pilot with David Shuster, Possible Leftward Shift Ahead?

David Shuster may be on his way to CNN, and the cable network may be realizing that it needs the likes of David Shuster — a hyper-partisan liberal — if it wants to compete with MSNBC.

The New York Observer reported today that CNN shot a pilot for a new show co-anchored by Shuster, at right in a file photo, and Michel Martin, an NPR reporter with a lower profile, but a noteworthy history of liberal bias.

David Shuster Headed for CNN?

by Juli Weiner April 2, 2010, 12:30 PM

MSNBC’s David Shuster, unrestrained Tweeting antagonist, might be getting his very own show on CNN, according to Felix Gillette at The New York Observer. Gillette reports that Shuster and Michel Martin of NPR recently filmed a pilot for the network that “featured medical and opinion segments, and included appearances by several current CNN contributors, including Chrystia Freeland, the U.S. managing editor for the Financial Times and Jeffrey Toobin of The New Yorker.”

This rumor comes after a disastrous first quarter for CNN. According to The New York Times, the network’s “main hosts [lost] almost half their viewers in a year.” There may be hope yet in this potential new Shuster-Martin project, the wonkiness of which sounds like it would rival that of the tragically under-appreciated Fareed Zakaria G.P.S., which has, in the past, featured Steve Coll, Rory Stewart, and Vanity Fair’s own Michael Lewis as guests, among others. Cross your fingers for more televised Jeffrey Toobin (and David Shuster and Michel Martin)!

The day before the big tea party event last April, MSNBC’s David Shuster made numerous sexual puns during a “Countdown” appearance.

“It’s going to be teabagging day for the right-wing and they’re going nuts for it. Thousands of them whipped out the festivities early this past weekend, and while the parties are officially toothless, the teabaggers are full-throated about their goals,” he told viewers.

He later used his Twitter account to attack “teabaggers” and their “teabag leader.”

CNN doesn’t seem to get it. If you want viewers to come back, hire conservatives, not more liberals.

This guy has a yet unexposed cocaine problem. Trust me on this one. Listen to him while interviewing nuts on screen. Then listen to him questioning them when his face is unseen. It’s bad. His throat and nostril clearing is enough to make one want to think about “breathe right”.
