- “A study showed....” = they heard somebody quote some stupid statastics bolstering their lame argument

- “will you do me a favor...?” = everything that follows is pure trouble

-”oh my gaawwwd” = ‘nough said

-”your ‘Strawman’ argument”... = 99.999% of people who use this phrase when attempting to discredit a point or argument has no idea whatsoever what that really means.

By the way, that begs the question:

Why do people say “begs the question” without realizing that to “beg the question” is to attempt to answer it by merely restating it, rather than meaning to “raise” the question?

...and most people using the phrase, “begging the question,” have no idea what that means either.

Drives me nuts...but it’s a short trip.
