Recently Obama had blocked a shipment of bunker-busters that was slated for Israel, and in the meantime the murdering Mullahs of Iran are on their way to obtaining nuclear warheads. Now our America hating Dictator is pledging not to develop any new nuclear weapon systems. I know that Obama wants to destroy America as we know it, but what is even more disturbing is that many of his followers actually believe that other countries will not see this as a sign of weakness, and look to build up their military might to challenge us. They are just do not deal in reality.

That is exactly right. Steve King seems to be taking it seriously. Other Republicans are already waffling about not repealing, just taking out the bad and improving it. Oh God,where are the Statesmen, bring us a Statesman.
Nailed that one.
In what year did the Republican Party offically lose their spine?
This is typical left-wing ideology. Not surprising in the least.
Their belief is that the US is an instigator to all the world’s problems. And that if the US disarms, other nations would follow suit.
This thinking goes back to even the cold war. These people believed that the US was responsible for the arms race and that if we would have declared that we are no longer producing nukes, that the Soviets would then cease their expansion. And the cold war would be over.
Great lyrics, thanks!
Jerry, you nailed it! I am also posting on some leftist dominated forum, and that is exactly how they think. They also cannot stand Israel, and fall all over themselves to protect Islam.
Go to Hell BO no one cares what you think.
Well, most U.S. presidents are unstoppable when they want to be, sometimes for good, like Reagan in Nicaragua or Lincoln at Fort Sumpter, and sometimes not-so-good.
That’s why they call it the most powerful office in the world.
It seems that way since he has a willing congress. We the people must put a stop to his corruption.
Uummm. I don’t believe we’ve developed any nuclear weapon systems for some time anyway. Sure, we still maintain our active weapons since they gotta’ be refurbed occasionally. And over the years their numbers have been reduced, but we still have plenty if we ever decide to terraform the planet.
Suffice to say, we’re more than a match for any of the nuclear powers as they currently stand. I don’t view Iran as a credible threat (but I don’t live in Europe or Israel either). Suffice to say that Israel, by itself, would make short work of Iran in a nuclear exchange. France or Great Britain would do the job even quicker, so there’s no shortage of deterrent ability if that is of any consequence (and it may not be if the “Twelvers” have anything to say about it).
A third world country with a few nukes is still a third world country. They can’t really use the weapon, but like people with “short man’s complex”, they love brandishing them. snazzy uniforms some middle eastern despots like to parade around in, their nukes will be for show.
Nukes are primarily a political weapon anyway. Granted, they can destroy cities with one pop, but if you use them first you die a fiery death. That’s the significant disincentive to their application. They are not going to be removed from the inventory in Obama’s administration, no matter what his posturing is towards his base. It sounds good to the leftist fringes, but it ain’t gonna’ happen.
His supposed idiocy has objective realism only under the assumption that his intent is to sustain a U. S. A. capable of self defense and also capable of projecting economic and military strength wherever necessary in defense of liberty. Such an assumption is fatally flawed.

It’s pretty amazing how damaging his presidency has already been. As a student of history, I have to admit a certain morbid fascination with watching the greatest nation in history begin to crumble around me. I always wondered if the Romans were conscious of decline or if they just woke up one day and realized it was over.
Even more evidence that Michelle and the girls are nothing more than a beard. He obviously doesn’t care about their future, any more than he cares about ours.
“I can see a world without war. A world without hate. And I can see us attacking that world because they’d never expect it.” - Jack Handy
Cf. Juvenal, the "bread and circuses" guy. He was very conscious of the social and moral decadence of Rome, and lamented it loudly. Even so, he was an observer more than a prognosticator, and did not seem to anticipate the actual dissolution of the Roman Empire. He wrote in the years after Nero's rule.
Hoe about more advanced delivery systems?
WWIII is in the works by the globalist power elite, and they want the adversaries to reach parity in their nuke arsenals.
