Maybe some more range time is needed in Houston.

A Houston, Texas couple were accosted by an armed home invader who wanted cash and drugs this week. The husband got into a struggle with the armed man. This gave his wife time to get a gun and killed the burglar. But, the husband was hit in the arm by a stray shot from his wife’s gun. Police believe that the killing was justified. The husband is recovering from his wound.

A woman was arrested in the parking lot downstairs in what the authorities believe is the getaway car.

Also in the Lone Star State:

English as a second language classes are usually free at many community centers.

My thoughts exactly.

Actually, though, she’s a better shot than some police, who seem to have to take out toddlers/pets/innocent bystanders when trying to apprehend the alleged (pc disclaimer) suspect.

It’s probably payback for the time he said, “yes,” to that age old question. “Honey, do I look fat in this dress?”

i thought a good response was "no more than any other dress you've tried on"

fortunately i was smart enough to regularly change the combos on all my safes.

Or the journalist is able to teleport in time between the present and past tense while typing....:)

he shoulda read Dr. Dan Streetmentioner’s “Time Traveler’s Handbook of 1001 Tense Formations”.
It will tell you, for instance, how to describe something that was about to happen to you in the past before you avoided it by time-jumping forward two days in order to avoid it. The event will be described differently according to whether you are talking about it from the standpoint of your own natural time, from a time in the further future, or a time in the further past and is further complicated by the possibility of conducting conversations while you are actually traveling from one time to another with the intension of becoming your own mother or father.

(stolen from adams' hitchhiker's series)

If I do/will get it some day, I will be able to teleport to the past so I can/will have had it sooner than when I do/did actually get it.

As long as I don’t/didn’t/will not screw up the time space continuum, that is...

;-)

“Being as how you two burglars didn’t do much damage, and how this here shotgun will do you both considerable damage unto death, while messing up my kitchen, I will make you a deal. If each of you prove that you are real men, by chewin’ on and swallowing one of these here bhut jolokia peppers, and not showin’ any distress for one entire minute, then you can skeedaddle, run away fast, and get away clean. And I swear I will not shoot either of you in the back.”

“Your choice.”
