I shot the XD and wasn’t a fan. Ruger Mini 14 seems like a good idea. Do they make it in 7.62?
What didn’t you like about the XD? I held that along with the Taurus that was that size and the Glock. I liked the feel of the Springfield XD best, but didn’t shoot it yet.
Yeah, AK caliber not NATO [.308 equivalent]
If not an XD, Taurus makes a REAL nice 1911-A1. For about $500 bucks, which is cheap.
look at the Saiga carbine. It’s the “sport” version of the AK and you can get it in .223, 7.62, 410ga and 12ga. It’s cheap and pretty much indestructable. Try gunbrokers.com
they make it in 7.62x39
Yep. Called the mini-30. Got one for my oldest son's high school graduation gift. And a case of ammo.
ruger makes the Mini in 7.62x39, the AK caliber, and in 6.8 SPC, which is an excellent but mostly overlooked self defense caliber. I read recently that Ruger just began to offer 30 round Mini 30 mags, which makes the rifle a much more viable self defense proposition.
I have an SKS and an Olympic Car-15 personally for for engaging goblins.
