Governor Palin's conservative message, her communication of that message, and her savvy in bringing that message to the public has allowed for her to play a huge part in legitimizing the contested primaries going on all over the country. She was the most high-profile politician to start the trend by endorsing Doug Hoffman over Dede Scozzafava in the NY-23.
I am not saying people have to VOTE for John McCain. What I am saying is, "underdog" Tea Party sympathetic candidates such as Hayworth, Rand Paul, etc... have largely benefitted from the momentum Governor Palin has initiated. By lending her name to the Tea Party movement and for being so vocal about her encouragement of contested primaries--we all benefit as a whole.
I just want this to be over...but damn...it will last till August.

Legitimizing... Well maybe so but locals have legit primaries all the time without an outsider stepping and praising one candidate over the other. She has stepped onto the bandwagon of McCain with both feet and has proclaimed to the world that ....
