You cannot get elected President without the active support of influential and senior party members. They are the key to financing a presidential campaign. Supporting McCain now is a demonstration of loyalty. Palin will not be able to ask the party for loyalty when she needs it to get elected unless they believe she will reciprocate for them. Remember when Bush supported Arlen Specter over Toomey?
“Regardless of what his intentions were and are, he did make the final decision to choose Palin, and our country is better off for it.
But he didn’t pick her because he is a true Conservative and believed in true Conservative principles.
I voted for him anyway, I knew ZerO was the worst thing for this country
I guess the emails from the Hadley unit had nothing to do with exposing Climategate. It was all Palin. LOL
alrighty then
No, Sarah wasn’t McRat’s first pick. He only settled on her because he knew there were skeletons in the closet. I still say the GOP did NOT want this term and did everything they could not to win. Sarah backfired on McRat and the GOP.
So, thank you, Sarah!
McRat can sit on it and spin.
I agree
“JD Hayworth Owes Sarah Palin a Thank You. WE Owe McCain OURS.”
The we owe a Thank You to Obama for reviving the Conservative movement as well.
>> By lending her name to the RINO movement and for being so vocal about her encouragement of JOHN McLAME—we all LOSE as a whole.
It’s one thing to admire Palin’s contributions to the Conservative movement, it’s something all together different to depend on it.
PDS - Palin Dependency Syndrome.
The constituency needs to be smarter about its role in the election process. AZ must show the way.
BRAVO!!!!
“I swear to God...sorry...that some here act just like they did over Bush and amnesty.
crazy with uniform thought...and dreamy suppositions...and slathering
Sarah is great. I doubt anyone supports her here more than I.
But I am not with her on this...Ive had enough.
Mccain is using her.
He is not out pal.....he hates the right.
“
Very well said and I agree. She is way out of bounds on this. She could have easily gracefully declined stating that her stance on the Constitution clearly do no match Juans.
Isn’t this what the Conservatives wanted to hear.
Plus I think it would have been dishonorable for Palin to do otherwise and be worse for her long term. Sure, she can't make 100% of people 100% of the time, (don't think she ever has) but she is doing the right thing here...and whatever is better for her both politically and personally is better for us. (At least I think so, I can see that you would disagree.)
I still stand by what I said. Every conservative in a contested primary owes her a thank you.
>> The fact is: X has benefitted from the momentum largely initiated by Sarah Palin.
Palin is not the catalyst, she is a participant.
I agree, however, with the thinking that JD would benefit from acknowledging Palin’s contributions.
That's why I said, regardless of what his intentions were and are.
If Palin didn’t support McLame after he picked her for VP, the liberal media would have a field day with — the GOP in disarray, the fringe running the party, blah, blah, blah.
She just shouldn’t over do it for him, a speech or two and let the AZ voters decide.
I agree. I love Sarah, and I agree with her on a lot. I don’t agree with her on her McCain endorsement (I understand why she would do it, but I still disagree with her). If I lived in Arizona, I would still not vote for McCain. If she ran for president, then I would still be interested in voting for her.
This one seems pretty simple, but it seems like a lot of folks want to immediately shoot and bury ANYONE who disagrees with them on ANYTHING. That’s just not a good idea.
But he doesn’t deserve a big Thank You for trying to save his own A$$ in the 2008 election by picking Palin.
Palin—from respected potential conservative candidate to former Gov of AK with huge albatross around her neck.
I would like it more muted.
He’s parading her like his running mate...cause he is scared.
He’s too damned old and not what we need anyhow
