Palin vouches for McCain bona fides

TUCSON – In their first joint appearance since losing the 2008 presidential election, Sen. John McCain and former GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin reunited here Friday in an attempt to bolster his conservative credentials in the face of spirited primary challenge.

Revisiting many of the same lines and themes used during their presidential run, Palin told an estimated crowd of 4,000 at the Pima County Fairgounds that McCain deserved re-election to a fifth term because of his lead role in the battle against President Obama and congressional Democrats.

“When the pundits and talking heads said, conservatism, it’s dead . .. John McCain set out to put the fight back in the Republican Party,” the former Alaska governor said, citing McCain’s backing of Sen. Scott Brown in Massachusetts. “It’s an honor to stand by him now and ask that you in Arizona, for the sake of your state and the sake of our country, that you send the maverick back to the United States Senate.”

It’s nice to see my $250.00 to JD is working against her loyalty.

Isn’t it interesting how the liberal media is subtly coming out for McCain here. The Dem in AZ will be nothing and will not be funded unless JD wins.

The liberal media including Saudia-Fox is promting MCCain.

I was too busy admiring her leathers to hear what she was saying.

That lady makes a biker jacket SING!

She’s doing what she has to do and we’re going to do what we have to do.

And the number one thing Sarah Palin would like to say to John McCain...

“How’s that Mavericky thing workin’ out for ya?”

Dear Ms. Palin:

Your willingness to return honestly owed favors is touching; however please do not go overboard. Mr. McCain has demonstrated, by his actions over the course of his entire career in the Senate, that he is a loose cannon who simply cannot be trusted by conservatives or, in fact, Republicans. If you wish evidence for this, you need look no further than that anathema to the plain language of the U.S. Constitution, the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Act, aka the McCain-Feingold Assault on the First Amendment. More contemporaneously, you need only look to his inane, and utterly inconsistent, statements regarding both Obama and Obamacare.

Ms. Palin, a debt due and owing is a debt well repaid; however, you are going to do a lot of damage to your own nascent political career, as well as your own reputation, if you go too far past the point of merely repaying a just debt due.

Hmmm. Knowing what Palin did prior being picked as his running mate... I don’t think so.

She likes his maervicky side...

LOL!! That was a metro moment wasn’t it?

What I meant is “Sarah in leather is FREAKING HOT!”

We apologize for any misunderstanding...

I’m sure Ronald Reagan would have endorsed a stab in the back moderate who actually hates everything Conservatives stand for.. (sarcasm off)

I remember her from Laugh-in. Goldline Hawn. Had a brief career in the 80s and the sorta disappeared.

I could collect that if she looked like when she was in a bikini in Laugh In :)

I was planning to avoid watching the speech this afternoon, anticipating the heartburn it might cause, seeing her stump for that wretched fossil. But, I watched it, and I’m glad I did. She’s just so damned great. Loved how she tossed in Castro’s endorsement of Obamacare. Her unique and deadly talent of cheerfully slicing-and-dicing the Marxist-in-chief is always something to behold.
