“Obama does not qualify to be even mention with that sacred place.”
The article is putting him in the role of Santa Ana.

Rep. Boehner promised if the GOP wins the House to DEFUND the bill Jan 2011.
We have to push to win in Nov, get rid of RINOs like McCain and push the lawsuits.
People post to many dumb new posts about nonsense - we need to focus. DEFUND is the key but we also push lawsuits, Repeal and any other methods.
We have to let everyone we know that if we get to the polls on 2010 enamsse and make sure they do not steal it, get the House then DEFUND.

"must tell you that at one point in my life I took an oath to defend America against all enemies, foreign and domestic." I guess Im not sure what oath you took. I know I took an oath to defend the Constitution from all enemies. Problem is, we all failed that oath a long time ago. This week just made it official.
We have at least a bit of common ground... "I support the right of a state to leave the Union." Ok.. so do I..

Remember the Alamo!
Remember Freedom!

I still say that Republicans should assist Orly Taitz in her Lawsuit to prove Obama’s ineligibility to be in the White House, much less sign anything into law.
If Obama can be found to be ineligible, EVERYTHING he signed will be Null and Void.
It’s the fastest and easiest way to remove him from office.

I think Obama will soon finnd his audiences are very sour. Then he will have to go back to paying his supporters to come in to listen to him talk, ,fascist style.

"I think the author means to end the Texan revolution or the Texas-Mexico war or the Texas war for Independence."
Well, sort of. I guess it's more accurate to say "the win the decisive battle in the Texan revolution." but . . .
Texas had already declared independence and driven the Mexican army out of Texas. So, in a somewhat narrow context this was a Mexican insurrection - and it is sometimes referred to that way.
But, after reading your comment, I tend to agree that your suggestions valid - so I'll change the blog post accordingly.

In further writing you might want to note that a revolution was successful and a revolt was not.
But as it was the defeat of the army led by the leader of the nation that Texas had declared independence from, I would say it was the decisive battle that won Texan independence, the Texas Revolution or War for Texas Independence, or the Texas-Mexico war are all terms that I have heard.
But not the “Mexican revolution”, people call a different war that name.

Being a fan of the black powder era I would go with Borodino rather than the Alamo. First it is more closely related to Waterloo. Second it better fits the circumstances.
"While Napoleon won the battle of Borodino, his victory ultimately cost him his army, as it allowed the French emperor to believe that the campaign was winnable, exhausting his forces as he pressed still further into Russia in his attempts to defeat the Russian army. "
The French would lose 66% of their army before spring. If we can take 66% of the 18 democrat seats up for election in the Senate the democrats defeat will be just as complete as Napoleon's.
