Below is a video of Rand Paul with his pal Adam Kokesh talking about their common "movement".
Read a report at Gathering of Eagles about James Bancroft's "mighty stand for truth" as he has resigned the Hartford Tea Party over their support for Peter Schiff who is part of this Libertarian "movement" with Adam Kokesh. Please read the whole post.
There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Paul's libertarian movement is attempting to take over the Republican Party through co-opting the Tea Party movement. We've seen this here in Kentucky as a good chunk of our Tea Party leaders supported Bill Johnson, but Rand Paul's big money (77% of it coming from out of state people in this "liberty movement") gave him credibility with the media and made him able to bill himself as "the Tea Party candidate" here. It was all a hoax, of course, and now Kentucky's grassroots-selected candidate has been disenfranchised.
Across America, the story seems to be the same. Many people involved in politics for the first time in many years have no idea that the Ron Paul / Rand Paul camp is actually anti-war, hates the 14th amendment and the 17th amendment and.....believe in UFOs. Like the people in the Hartford Tea Party who would not listen to Mr. Bancroft, they are being duped with the "broadened message" of Rand Paul and other candidates in this "movement". It's like Obama all over again.

A direct quote from this conference is as such:
(January 20, 2010) House Rep. Ron Paul says the CIA has in effect carried out a “coup” against the US government, and the intelligence agency needs to be “taken out.”
Speaking to an audience of like-minded libertarians at a Campaign for Liberty regional conference in Atlanta this past weekend, the
Texas Republican said: “There's been a coup, have you heard? It's the CIA coup. The CIA runs everything, they run the military.
They're the ones who are over there lobbing missiles and bombs on countries...”
I did an Internet search to see if Peter Schiff attended this conference, and found that almost every video of this event where Ron
Paul made such a statement, Peter Schiff’s name was one of the main search tags:

One one video, the single specific description for the video reads as such:

And here is one prominant website that supports the 9/11 conspiracy theories, calling for a RON PAUL PROVISIONAL ARMY to
take over after we investigate the 9/11 events:

Among the other kooky connections to Ron Paul, is a UFO COnnection. I have yet to find the original article, but numerous articles repeat the belief of Ron Paul's that UFO’s are real. Some of the Ron Paul sites have soeone trying to mock this belief, but the Ron Paul site, DailyPaul.com says this:

This has been repeated again in San Francisco, not known to support conservatives or Libertarians anyways, but associated with Ron Paul out there were UFO enthusiasts mentioned in this article:

How is it that the kookiest ideas are surrounding Ron Paul?
Ron Paul, UFO disclosure, etc... simply nothing more than a pacifier — a distraction!

Hmmm...you mean liebertarians (sic) like Lindsey Graham and John McCain. No...wait a minute...those are Republicans!
There are plenty of folks who have kooky ideas, such as birthers, who support Palin. Do you also suggest that she be blamed for that?
Something that interests me is that reportedly 70% of Rand Paul’s funding comes from out of state.
I am also interested in learning how Ron Paul was able to purchase an estimated 800 registrations for the Southern Republican Leadership Conference opening the weekend after Easter.
As the saying goes, “Follow the money.”
And we can guess whose money would want to disrupt and weaken the Republican Party, as well as the Tea Party movement.
Then you better stop logging on to FR because there are plenty of FReaks here. Lots of smart, nice people who love their country, but also a lot of FReaks. We mostly have our conservative values in common but there are all types of folks here, some of whom I certainly would not vote for.
Maybe the Kentucky pinger will come along and alert all.
Kokesh is associated with the same type of anti war Marxist groups as John Kerry. We exposed and condemned Kerry but Kokesh gets a break, what hypocrisy.
They are both anti war Marxist.
1) Ask you: “Have you stopped beating your wife yet.”
2) Then he'll post: “Palin, Forbes and GOA have all endorsed Rand Paul, so you see, Rand is normal.”
3) Then he'll post a 30 year-old picture of Ron Paul standing with Ronald Reagan and say: “You see, The Pauls are normal, even Reagan liked Paul.”
This is his modus opeRANDi. Boring, predictable. But, it's his three-step program, and darn it, he's stickin’ to it.
There was just a JOURNAL INQUIRER poll, (Eastern Ct Newspaper, subscription required), that listed the Ron Paul candidate in Ct, Peter Schiff, and if I remember rightly, he got 1.7 MILLION dollars, yet only $75K was from inside his own state!!
Cincinnati sits on the border of KY. The Cincinnati airport sits in KY.
Since I believe I met Obama in Hawaii in 1980, no, I dont think birthers are kooky.
Didn’t read that thread, did ya? :)
I know, I have flown into that airport to go into Cinn.
Right...leaders?
BS
We’re ALL leaders.
Odd..Barry Goldwater deeply believed in UFO’s, was he not a conservative?
'FReaks' -- definition please.
I am against him too and I live in KY. I was really wanting Ben Johnson. He wasn’t your typical politician. I was really surprised when he withdrew.
He supported pro-choicers too, which was not a credit to his conservatism.
You “believe” you met Obama in Hawaii in 1980....therefore birthers are not kooky??!!! Huh? Both birthers and truthers are birds of feather in kookdom.
“Headlines rarely have the ability to tell details. :)”
You mean like:
Local Tea Party Organizer
or
Regional Tea Party leader
