Below is a video of Rand Paul with his pal Adam Kokesh talking about their common "movement".
Read a report at Gathering of Eagles about James Bancroft's "mighty stand for truth" as he has resigned the Hartford Tea Party over their support for Peter Schiff who is part of this Libertarian "movement" with Adam Kokesh. Please read the whole post.
There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Paul's libertarian movement is attempting to take over the Republican Party through co-opting the Tea Party movement. We've seen this here in Kentucky as a good chunk of our Tea Party leaders supported Bill Johnson, but Rand Paul's big money (77% of it coming from out of state people in this "liberty movement") gave him credibility with the media and made him able to bill himself as "the Tea Party candidate" here. It was all a hoax, of course, and now Kentucky's grassroots-selected candidate has been disenfranchised.
Across America, the story seems to be the same. Many people involved in politics for the first time in many years have no idea that the Ron Paul / Rand Paul camp is actually anti-war, hates the 14th amendment and the 17th amendment and.....believe in UFOs. Like the people in the Hartford Tea Party who would not listen to Mr. Bancroft, they are being duped with the "broadened message" of Rand Paul and other candidates in this "movement". It's like Obama all over again.

please tell others of this information? Thanks!
But, I'm generally unpersuaded by such "Guilt By Association" fallacies.
Instead, I'd rather judge each candidate on their own individual merits:
Tom Mullins has the track record of personal and business accomplishments to back up his claims.
Kokesh has... his claims.
Ergo, match point to Tom Mullins.
Schiff is flaky. If he goes through with a full primary, I doubt he’ll get more than 15% of the vote. Can he get the signatures?
but, I got better things to do than bash GOP candidates right now. Not a good activity for a minority party. And the CT GOP is close to being a minor party.
It’s not about bashing someone
it’s about making sure we dont vote for a lunatic who hangs out with code-pink Marxists like Adam Kokesh
well, there is a lot of bashing around. and there is plenty to bash about McMahon and Simmons.
Schiff actually has the most Republican position on abortion, so criticizing him there makes no sense to me.
its about making sure we dont vote for a lunatic who hangs out with NARAL candidates like Rob Simmons.
:)
Vinny Forras is the ONLY Pro-Life candidate in the race
and the Family Institute of Connecticut, whose sole main platfor is PRO-Life, is going to endorse LINDA MCMAHON?!?!?!?!?!
most people do not concede that Vinny is a candidate.
i am not aware that FIC will endorse Linda. they are not in a position to endorse Linda cuz they do not have a federal PAC.
primaries are divisive. best to get through them without a lot of bitterness unless there is a close race with 2 very different candidates. And you care much about one candidate.
I don’t see it in CT right now. I am more interested in findng out about Tom Herrmann. interesting candidate. do not want to assume that he is a total pro-abort cuz he isn’t positioning himself as such.
God Bless you Christian_Capitalist. Now that Bill Johnson is out, I have no dog in this fight. Thanks for the stimulating debate. I'm not comfortable with the Paul Family, but to each his own. I think Kokesh is a nut, and I hope Republicans distance themselves accordingly.
Do you trust McMahon? Her website indicates good positions on many issues but....
I like Schiff, at least he’s a conservative on something. But he’s polling in the single digits. What a poor result. Didn’t raise enough money? Running a lousy campaign?
The last poll I’ve seen has McMahon leading Simmons. And doing no worse against the rat. That kinda kiboshes the idea that Simmons is markedly more electable.
Unfortunately this is likely moot. Unlike 1994 there will probably be a freshman rat Senator.
i don’t hafta trust anyone .... just sayin’ if there is a close primary vote Linda vs. Simmons, I’m for Linda. Ignoring the race otherwise.
it’s not a good race for a grassroots pawn like me-self. I’m hoping to do some organizing for a House race. probably CT-5.
I like the Pauls a lot; in an age of $1.5 Trillion Dollar deficits, Fiscal Conservatism is very important to me (I think that the chaos of national bankruptcy could kill far more Americans than any Islamic terror group), and I know of no stronger advocates for cutting Government spending than the Paul family. Well, maybe Representative Jeff Flake and Senator Tom Coburn -- but heck, I like them too, and for much the same reason.
If you don't think that the Pauls should be allowed within a country mile of Foreign Policy, fine, we can agree to disagree. (Or maybe just partially disagree, as the case may be). But I'd still like to have their "NO!" votes on the floor of Congress the next time there's yet another proposed increase in deficit spending.
But Adam Kokesh? I don't know whether or not Kokesh is a "nut". I doubt it, actually -- but I strongly suspect that he is at least an attention-whoring opportunist. Tom Mullins (who won 80.5% of the pre-primary Convention votes to Kokesh's 19.5%) offers the same Pro-Life position, the same Fiscal Conservative position, and even much the same Non-Interventionist foreign policy position as does Adam Kokesh -- but Tom Mullins can also bring to the table his own personal honors and achievements in life and business. (Moreso than Kokesh's proven rabble-rousing ability to attract controversy and TV cameras).
That's my $0.02, anyway.
NO, Impy, Schiff is NOT Conservative!!
What the Tea Parties are not telling you about Peter Schiff:
Peter Schiff admits on camera that he has ZERO money investigated in American corporations or industry. If Peter Schiff refuses to invest in American companies, how can Peter Schiff say he is helping Americans keep their jobs? In this video berlow, Schiff says that we need MORE immigration and that there are PLENTY of jobs! At 9% unemployment in America, where are the jobs again??
SCHIFF himself admits he believes the Iraq War is a QUAGMIRE in 2009!!
http://www.freespeechmonster.com/?p=103
Schiff has said this many times
http://peterschiffsays.com/defense.htm
Aug 7, 2009, Iraq is a quagmire

Peter Schiff repeating talking points of the lunatic left, listen yourself. He says in 2009 that Iraq is a QUAGMIRE when we already won!! He blames the war on bankers and whoever, and not a word about blaming it on terrorists! listen yourself, Schiff repeats left wing talking points to his radio audience about the Iraq war!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo81QDSuixk
Peter Schiff has made open statements that are quite like the statements of the anti-war leftists, to include the OTHER Ron Paul endorsed candidates Rand Paul and Adam Kokesh

Ive been listening carefully to Schiff, and he had little to say on foreign policy, then he was vague; in the recent Yale series, Part seven, that was on the front page, he seems to have thought through the issues more clearly (beyond his forte in finance) and to my ear comes down pretty solidly anti war. Check out that recent video and see what you think.
Hes not Ron Paul, but he seems to be coming along fast. Heres the link:

Peter Schiff Telegraphs GOP Primary Run
by: tparty Mon Jun 01, 2009 at 11:28:23 AM EDT
Is a Republican Superprimary for Senate in the offing? Addressing the Connecticut Libertarian Party’s convention in Bridgeport this past weekend, Ron Paul acolyte Peter Schiff - who has been the subject of a draft movement by national Paul supporters and has recently made more and more noise himself about possibly challenging Chris Dodd as either a third-party candidate or in a Republican primary - seems to be clearly saying that if he were to run, it would not be as a third-party candidate, but in a Republican Primary:
http://www.myleftnutmeg.com/diary/11430/peter-schiff-telegraphs-gop-primary-run
Nope. Has plenty $$$, raised plenty $$$.
Running a lousy campaign?
"Lousy"? Schiff's campaign is even sleepier than Fred Thompson's in 2008, and THAT was a disappointing snooze-fest if ever there was one.
I like Schiff's economics a lot. (I wouldn't personally vote for him, because I have sworn a long-standing vow never to vote for any pro-abortion candidate. But I do like his economics a lot). But if Schiff treats his own candidacy as a freakin' part-time hobby, why should his supporters put in more work than he does?
But I do have a question for you, Falcon. Let's take one of Allen West's quotations on National Defense:
Okay, so.... according to Allen West, we're facing a "World-wide War" against "the vilest and most determined enemy we have seen in our Republics existence".
If you really believe that, then I'll see your Allen West quotation, and raise you a quotation from Ron Paul's former chief staffer, Dr. Gary North:
That would make the bomb more powerful than Allah.... This is theologically inconceivable for Muslims, or at least ritually unmentionable." -- Dr. Gary North, former chief staffer for Congressman Ron Paul
So, here's my question for you, Falcon:
If you really believe what Lt. Col. Allen West says about America being in a "World-wide War" against "the vilest and most determined enemy we have seen in our Republics existence"... then do YOU think that we should be frittering away thousand of soldier's lives and trillions of taxpayer dollars in American Blood and Treasure, fighting decades of "death by a thousand cuts" Pyhrric wars in peripheral backwaters like Iraq and Afghanistan...
...or are you willing to get hard-core serious, and I mean deadly RON PAUL serious, about the nature of Islam and say: "If you're not willing to NUKE MECCA, then you're just flapping your gums while pissing in the wind."
You wanna keep bashing Ron Paul for his opposition to backwater peripheral wars like Iraq and Afghanistan?
Or are you ready to listen to Ron Paul's people, and get serious about the nature of Islam, and admit that if you're gonna fight a war at all, YOU BLOODY WELL FIGHT TO WIN?
"Slaughter them till you rot -- You'll accomplish nothing. Find the Root. Strike the WILL." -- The Mad Priestess, The 13th Warrior
What's it gonna be, Falcon?
As far as fighting for decades in backwater hellholes -that won't happen either and I wouldn't support it. For all intents and purposes, the Iraq war is over and we now have a new ally in the M.E. The Afghan war will probably take another 5-10 years, but, yes, I believe it's worth it. I say we send about 500 Predator drones there and let them reign down hell on the enemy. Drones are cheap and don't put lives in danger - that's how we'll win Afghanistan.
Iran gettin nukes would be a game-changer. At this point, only air-strikes can stop them.
But, then again, the Muslims can overtake a society without firing a shot - via mass immigration and mating like rabbits, i.e. Europe. Europe is gone - 20 years from now, it will be an Islamic superstate. We can't let America become Europe. We have to expose their ideology as Lt. Col. West puts it: a totalitarian political system disguised as a religion. We have to convince the American people about the threat Islamism in America and creeping Shariah - which is already being practiced in some areas of England.
Defeating the totalitarian political system of Islam may take decades, it took decades to bring down the Soviet Union. But, we'll need people to stand up and fight Islamism with bold, strong, articulate, fearless leadership. I've yet to see Rand or Ron Paul stand up and declare who the enemy is, what they stand for, and how we confront them; except for the comments of a former staffer.
We'll probably never agree on foreign policy issues, especially in regards to the Pauls, I suppose we'll have to agree to disagree.
McMahon will be much easier for Blumenthal to attack. I honestly think that she has no chance of winning the primary, while Simmons has as good a chance as any CT Republican.
I said conservative “on something”. Fiscal issues.
You’re right it’s another story on foreign policy and social issues.
Who do you like in the 5th? Caligiuri?
