Below is a video of Rand Paul with his pal Adam Kokesh talking about their common "movement".

There is no doubt in my mind that Ron Paul's libertarian movement is attempting to take over the Republican Party through co-opting the Tea Party movement. We've seen this here in Kentucky as a good chunk of our Tea Party leaders supported Bill Johnson, but Rand Paul's big money (77% of it coming from out of state people in this "liberty movement") gave him credibility with the media and made him able to bill himself as "the Tea Party candidate" here. It was all a hoax, of course, and now Kentucky's grassroots-selected candidate has been disenfranchised.

Across America, the story seems to be the same. Many people involved in politics for the first time in many years have no idea that the Ron Paul / Rand Paul camp is actually anti-war, hates the 14th amendment and the 17th amendment and.....believe in UFOs. Like the people in the Hartford Tea Party who would not listen to Mr. Bancroft, they are being duped with the "broadened message" of Rand Paul and other candidates in this "movement". It's like Obama all over again.

Really? As a romneybot on this anti-Mitt Romney web site, I would think that you could name most of the conservatives here that speak out against the man, and many more than me, or at least more effectively than me.

Ron Paul has openly endorsed one of those people, Schiff was the campaign advisor for economics for Paul’s preseidential campaign in 2008, so Schiff knows these people quite well

Again, for the reading-challenged: I, unlike you apparently, actually watched the debate from the other week, and Schiff is not as 'out there' on national security as Ron Paul himself is.

If Schiff were that out there, I wouldn't theoretically support him (since the extent of my 'support' for him is talking about him in a few posts from hundreds of miles away...). The problem is that he isn't with Kokesh et al on those issues as far as I can tell, despite your hysterics - nor does he have any real connection to Kokesh that I'm aware of, but feel free to enlighten me (and by that I don't mean, demand that I read through your post history again).

Okay, so Schiff is wrong to ‘without apparent hesitation be connected with’ the Ron Paul gang. I agree that Ron Paul is pretty close to 100% wrong on foreign policy, but I don’t think it makes everyone connected to Ron Paul as much of a Code Pink d*ckhead as Kokesh.

Regarding Schiff being an isolationist, in the debate he made comments about Iran that showed he was far less of an isolationist than Ron Paul, and perhaps even Pat Buchanan.

Until I see something beyond three people on FR as the general support for Forras, I’m holding to the position that, were I a resident of CT, I would support Schiff over Simmons and McMahon, two retched liberals who I probably would not even support in the general election. If you’ve got pictures of Schiff torching Old Glory, then I’ll change my mind on that.

I googled Kokesh + Schiff and it got me exactly what I expected, a bunch of mentions of the two without any proof that Schiff promotes Kokesh.

Now, I ‘double dog dare you’ to go watch that debate from the other week and listen to Schiff’s position on Iran, and then come back here and try to tell me that it’s something Kokesh would support.

I am a Connecticut voter.

I’ve always been concerned about Schiff’s rather laid back attitude towards this race. I wasn’t aware of any connection to Adam Kokesh until now.

However, Forras is trailing the other three, and the other two are RINOs.

I remain undecided. Help me out here

1 - The first priority is to defeat the democrat. What is the possibility of making Forras a viable candidate?
2 - I’m not sure I agree with your assessment of a danger by an analogy of Kokesh = David Duke. It is a little upsetting that they are so strongly linked, but Kokesh doesn’t rise to the level of Klansman as far as PR issues are concerned.
3 - Wouldn’t it be better to focus efforts on attacking Blumenthal? For example, there should be a strong effort to force him to challenge Obamacare. Obamacare is very unpopular in Connecticut, insurance capital of the world.

Schiff invests overseas...at present, that is just better investment of his own money. I don’t think that is a reflection of his patriotism (or lack of)
