Duncan Hunter was my first choice. I love the guy.
That being said, he does not have the star power to win a national race. I wish he did but it is not going to happen. I would love to see him as Secretary of Defense or Homeland Security.

"There's enough State Run Media negatives out there..." The Marxist Media will write negative stories about any Repub nominee. They attack Palin so much it demonstrates she is who they fear the most.
In addition, what else can they attack Palin on - they shot their wad and nothing remains in the barrell?
See my tagline...

Has he announced that he is running? I have always felt that he was the most qualified for the job and I agree with his views but I live in PA and ,in reality, we don't get a say in the primary.

“Hes a great guy but has the charisma of margarine. You have to be able to dynamically state your case and he cant. Cream rises to the top.”
Duncan Hunter is one of the best statesmen this country has ever had. If you don’t know that, you’ve not paid attention.
Or you’re just spewing about something you know nothing of.
McCain was the GOP pres candidate...Are you going to try to tell us he is dynamic.....has chrisma???
PLEASE!

“There four or five House members who have risen to star staus during the Health Care Fiasco. Hunter was not one of them. “
Duncan L. Hunter is not in the House of Reps. You should catch up. He resigned his seat to run for prez, unlike all the others who just ignored their jobs.

I’m thinking Ryan/McCotter as well. I don’t think the left has anyone on the planet who could debate either of these gentlemen.

The hope of the GOP is people like Ryan and Pence.
Duncan Hunter should invite John McCain and Ron Paul to join him on a trip to obscurity.

It's clear - you have chosen to avoid substance and just stoop to name calling. How lacking of any intelligence.
You are the weakest link. Good-Bye.

Saying “one percenter” is substance, dingbat? Who knew. Why don’t you read the real substance of the article and realize how superior Hunter is from the RINO crowd you worship.

Pissant, these party firsters are never going to give a real conservative a chance. We have worse problems in the GOP than we have with the democrats. We’re going to get another squishy moderate movie star type like Fred Thompson, who NEVER accomplished one damn thing in congress except to push John McCain’s socialist agenda.

Don’t confuse ‘em with facts, pissant, their minds are made up. They choose flash over substance every time. And STILL claim to be conservatives.

Whoever it is will have to be able punch the Communist in Chief in the face and kick him when he’s down. Executive performance counts too. Governor trumps lawmaker.

Then he's running on exactly what? A backbench cong from Ca. has little enough standing. A former backbench cong. has less. It's easy to have the right positions. I would venture that most freepers have the right positions, but some level of actual achievement is desired.
Sarah Palin has genuine achievements as gov. and energy commissioner in Alaska. She has the righr positions, a strong personality, a face that shines on TV, and a way with words that most folks can understand even if they don't agree. Yet I think the chance of Gov. Palin becoming POTUS is only slightly better than former Cong. Hunter.
