I was actually at the Tea Party march against the health care bill in Washington, D.C. yesterday. I dont attend political events on the Jewish Sabbath, so I simply decided to go and observe, lending a quiet voice of protest. I was in our nations capital for the conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and wandered down by myself to Capitol Hill after morning services at the historic 6th & I synagogue.
I saw thousands of peoplefifteen thousand, I guessed at the timegathered on the west lawn of the Capitol building. There were American flags and lots of Gadsden flags (Dont Tread on Me). I noted some of the more humorous signs (Im not wee-weed up, Im pissed off), as well as some of the more esoteric ones (Restoration, not Transformation). Almost all of them were home-made with poster-board and marker.
I did not see any comparison of Obama to Hitler, nor any sign advocating violence of any kind. I did see two signs bearing a hammer-and-sicklewhich I personally find just as offensive as the swastika, though it is bizarrely trendy to some Americans. There was one sign with an image of Obama and the words undocumented worker, which was the only hint of Birtherism I witnessed. The rest of the signs were straightforward slogans: Kill the Bill; Start Over.

I honestly don’t care if any racial slurs were thrown. There’s nothing in our constitution that excludes them from public discourse.
All concentrating on them does is distracts from the actual issues.
I have to speak up - I was at the rally last weekend supporting my police department in Torrance. Earl Ofari Hutchinson and others, are calling for the FBI and DOJ to investigate them for racial profiling. There was about 15 people on each side. We were well behaved. They started chanting “No Justice, No Peace” and came toward our side of the street. Looking back on it now, there is no doubt in my mind that they were trying to antagonize us into something. Even though we didn’t react, the Earl dude painted us that way on his op-ed at the Huffpo. We were an “angry white mob” in his lie, while all we were doing was supporting our men in blue.
oh, I should also say, we have tons of pics and videos, and there is no evidence to support his accusations.
The Congressmen then, according to Pollack, are liars. Figures.
Of course it was setup. Not ‘a’ setup. Just setup. These arrogant, socialists want to play the propaganda game with smear tactics. They aren’t above doing anything to achieve their goals.
All I heard were boo’s and kill the bill. I did hear someone shout something but, couldn’t make it out. Didn’t sound like the n word though.
He should be MORE offended by what’s going on INSIDE the Capitol building than anything drawn by an individual citizen...
If we could check the ID of anyone using racial slurs during a Tea Party event and I’d bet they probably be SEIU cards.
Really!
Those signs should say something like, “And you think YOU’RE offended!”
The MSM is trying to suppress legitimate political expression.
This means revolution of some kind is only a matter of time. Pretty soon they will demand free food and free lodging, for what good is free medical care if one has no food, nor a place to sleep. As soon as the incorporate the illegals they will have the premanent votes.
Those who love our country are going to be permanently shut out of the political process. Not at all good.
We were there yesterday in WDC and at 9-12. The media and these asshat black congressmen lie. Everyone there was angry, but respectful of others. These moonbat asshats want each of us to feel stupid and isolated so they can further “transform” (aka: ruin) America as we love it. Traitorous Bastards!
The AP writeup was so blatantly idiotic it was clear immediately that it was all a fraud. My first assumption was that it was simply a lie - it never happened; then my husband reminded me of the union thugs we’ve encountered. When we were small in number, they would intimidate and/or attack us. Now that the numbers are so huge, they have to resort to the Alinsky tactic of sabotage by sending in disruptors posing as us and behaving foully.
It makes my blood boil. Michael Steele did a pretty good job of dealing with David Corn, but I would have loved to have seen him ask why Corn assumed the racists were Republican protestors and not, say, SEIU saboteurs.
And I would follow up by asking Corn how he felt about the
death threats Stupak and his family received for his original stand against the bill- presumably made by supporters of Obama. Apparently the racism pimps aren’t interested if the victim is white.
Every time I hear anyone try to make the tea party patriots out to be racists or radicals, I can’t help thinking about that code pink harpy with her bloody hands in Condi’s face. The double standard is what makes my stomach tie in knots. they do whatever they want to do and nobody says a word, while we are lied about at every turn.
We are about 3 steps away from a real Civil War, and folks are still crying about the bad press our side gets from the media. It's time to cast off the notion of an unbiased media, and face reality: The media is our enemy.
You got that right. I’m sick of good people apologizing for speaking the truth. If you are going to speak the truth, then why apologize? We conservatives need to learn how to be agressive and damn the media.
Unfortunately, we do not have “angry white mobs.” Maybe if we did we would not have so many problems. I not calling for racial attacks, but like I told my wife educated white people resort to violence last.
