It has been a busy week here with one of the twins being sick and then them having Spring break. That has equaled time not available to neither look at the weather nor provide blog posts but things are much quieter today. For the first time in a week, as I am typing this post I am seeing a bright, yellow ball in the sky. I believe it is the elusive sun. A slow progressing trough has kept much of the southeastern U.S. shrouded in low cloud cover which in turn has kept temperatures 5 to 10 degrees below normal. Things are beginning to change and instead of seeing temperatures below normal we will now see temperatures swing the opposite direct for much of the nation east of the Mississippi through Saturday and along the Atlantic Coast through Sunday. However, dont be fooled as another potent storm system will be progressing eastward from the Plains into the Southeast through Sunday, too, and it will bring another round of winter with it.

I live in Michigan. I know better. Shovels/snow blowers don’t get put away until the end of April. The summer coats and winter coats hang out together for about two months.
oh no !!!! more global warming
72 and sunny at Lake of the Ozarks today.
Not the forecast for PA. We’re just going to get some rain this weekend. From past experience if we do get anymore snow it will be a dusting and gone the next day.
I used to live in Michigan and got sick and tired of knowing better. This is Cabin Fever Month up there. If we end up getting snow in North Carolina from this storm, I will be surprised, but not caught off guard. It’s been a cold miserable Winter here, but the last two week have been nice.
Yet another cold day in Orlando. I’m about done with this Global Warming.
Down here in North Florida my mother-in-law always said, don’t put away the coats and blankets until after Easter. It has been a reliable rule-of-thumb for the almost 40 years that I have lived here and it doesn’t seem to matter how early or late Easter comes. As surely as you put all your winter stuff in storage ten days before Easter because the weather has been nice for a week, there will come another cold snap. After Easter it may get chilly again once but only a little.
Low 20s at night, 50-60 during the day out here north of CDA, Idaho. We’ve gotten overnight temps of 25 as late as mid-May, so the wardrobe gets a little mixed this time of year.
I always look forward to the Great Winter Wear - Summer Wear switchout. And no, I’m not like some of the locals who combine shorts and a parka.
Oh, lovely. I guess I’ll be having my party Saturday indoors ...
We live at 7000 feet. We don’t even PLANT flowers until June 1st.

Not cabin fever month this year...........I got me a tan :) 60’s and sunny for about 2 weeks here it’s been fabulous. We luck out here every 10 years or so LOL!
It has been the longest cold ever down here in Ft. Lauderdale. I’ve lived down here since 72. It’s almost too cold to wear shorts and bare feet in the house.
Have a sister and a few friends there as well. All commented on the cold temps this year. Well, hope it warms up for everyone and soon.
My niece just went out to LA from Michigan within the past two weeks and she says its just beautiful there, but the people who live there are all complaining about how cold it is and are wearing sweatshirts and jackets.
That was easy to forecast it is basketball playoff time in Indiana and it never fails to snow!!
