Bring plenty of sun block. That white sand will get you cooked in a hurry.

Nice beach for sure. I take it for granted I guess as I haven't been to Siesta Key in a year and I live 15 minutes from there.

Not a big fan of the "drum circles" they do before sunset as it is a bunch of hippys and I remember once 15 years ago they didn't let me in the circle because I had a beer and a cigarette, which was oddly taboo for them but somehow pot like LSD, Mushrooms, exstacy and other hallucinogenic drugs were somehow A-OK.

I love Siesta Key! We vacationed there last August on the recommendation of freeper ken5050. It’s such a fantastic place, I wouldn’t mind going there again this year.

Thanks Ken!

Went to Siesta Key the second week of February. At one point it was 42 degrees in Siesta Key and 41 degrees in Vancouver at the Winter Olympics. Not blaming Siesta Key, but not feeling nostalgic about it either.

Heck, I thought this place was popular because it's so close to The Deck. Who knew it was the beach?

At one time lived in Sarasota for 8 years live an hour away now

Siesta Key beach is great beach The sand is so fine it’s like baby powder doesn’t get hot in the sun

Turtle beach up the way a few niles is much more quiet and relaxing
