ObamaCare in the U.S. (Slaughter) House

"Without the votes to pass the Senate version of the ObamaCare Nightmare, you have to wonder why House Democrats are so giddy. All smiles, they promise to pass ObamaCare this week. One has to wonder if Nancy Pelosi and her pals are going to bypass going Nuclear and instead use the "Slaughter" Cheat to pass Socialist Health Care...

...The Slaughter Cheat involves the House first passing the bill to "fix" the Senate bill they never approved, and then changing the rules for a moment and declaring that the approval of the "fix" bill means that they have automatically passed the Senate bill in the U.S. House.

American Freedom and Justice is what will be Slaughtered if Nancy Pelosi turns her chamber into the U.S. Slaughter House..."

Unfortunately the Constitution is clear how a bill becomes Law ... Officially, all bills that pass both houses are signed by the Speaker of the House and the President (or President Pro Tem) of the Senate before being presented to the President for signature. The bill then becomes law.

You’re absolutely right. They don’t care however about the Constitution and are discussing this slaughter solution as a possible end game this week.

If they need to do this, they will. They mean to pass the bill. It gives them control of everything and everybody. Ammo, while it is still on the shelves.

The Constitution also requires a declaration of war by Congress before the President commits the nation’s troops to war. There hasn’t been a formal declaration of war since 1941 yet tens of thousands of American soldiers have been killed in undeclared wars since then. We have been in undeclared wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001.

What ever happened to the “War Powers Act” — a bill enacted into law after the Vietnam War? It was my understanding that troops were to be removed from any country where they were sent into hostile situations within 90-days unless Congress declared WAR.

This is no problem for the Dems. If they can “deem” a preisdent to be a citizen than this is the logical next step.

Oh, great... it's the Ron Paul brigade with their usual Red Herrings and Anti-War gibberish.

If you guys weren't so one-dimensional and predictable, I might actually respect you. Ever heard of the word 'obsession?'

As it’s written??? Riighht. You’re just being a stick in the mud with semantics. In this last war, Congress authorized the president to act and it was legally a defacto declaration of war. Just because they didn’t call it a ‘war’ doesn’t make it illegal.

And as far as actual undeclared wars, this is not a new phenomenon or policy. Practically all of our wars against the Indians went undeclared. Some of that goes back to just right after the constitution was ratified, not ‘just after WWII’ as you have suggested.

It needs to be said that, oftentimes, the burden of declaring war made the issue politically toxic for Congresspersons, especially in election years. Since many Representatives and Senators didn’t want to bite the bullet on authorization, they tacitly supported military action by not voicing protest and by voting on spending bills to continue the military action.

Code Red” - House Target List on Health Care

The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.
At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!
