Watched a History Channel series on WWII the other day. The war in the Pacific was brutal. There were hardly any Japanese prisoners because they would never surrender. On island after island, no matter how hopeless the odds, the Japanese would never surrender. There were even mass suicides to avoid surrender. I'm surprised they even surrendered after two A-bombs.

These people are liars just like their father.

The Left uses people’s guilt feelings as a way to manipulate and control them. Thus the constant efforts to find ways to push your buttons, to find what will arouse your natural feelings of guilt. The moment they find the right combination, they’ve got you, because they offer themselves as your way out. Vote Left, and your guilt is expunged for the moment. Promote whatever policy the Left is promoting, and you are cleansed.

That, plus it deflates whatever argument you are making and even if you don’t consider yourself guilty of anything, the moment you start trying to defend yourself and “prove” that you aren’t guilty, they’ve already refocused and realigned the argument. Rather than discuss their fallacies, they’ve now got you tied up talking about your guilt or lack of it.

It doesn’t work well with believers, because their consciences are pointed upward, and they look to God for their redemption. So with them the Leftist guilt-manipulation doesn’t work very well. Just another reason why the Left hates religion, or at least that part of religion that they can’t control.
