I found a Rossi .357 magnum lever action rifle for $550 today at a local gun store Good deal if you are looking for a rifle of this type? It is stainless steel and with a 20" barrel. I have been unable to find a .357 magnum level action rifle anywhere in southern California, regardless of manufacturer.
That’s about the going rate. Esp. in stainless.
I wouldn’t call it a “good deal,” but it is a fair price. What is its intended use?

I would recommend Hornady LEVERevolution ammo for your rifle. It's made specifically for that type. It has good performance specs, as well.
Are you looking specifically for a lever action .357 mag rifle?
Reason I ask is that as a rifle it's sort of underpowered and that ammo is hard to find and expensive unless you roll your own.
its a model 92 winchester clone.....anything that can be used for cowboy action shooting is usually more expensive than those of similar quality that cant be used for CAS.
that is not a bad price for that weapon. right now original model 92 winchesters are through the roof....good clones are pretty high too...
What do you think of the HENRY Lever Action 44 Magnum Rifle?
Bought it new and liked that it is 100% USA Made in Newark, NJ.
Not as good as my Browning BL92 Lever-action (44 Mag) though
Don’t want to hijack this thread, but is/was the Browning BL92 available here inthe US?
Rossi makes a good weapon. I’ve had a .38Spl for almost 20yrs, put 1000’s of rounds through it. Very accurate and reliable. That rifle sounds like fun.

Thank you so much for your information! Do You own the engraved Model that ou note in your post? That must be a Beauty!! Your input makes me feel Fantastic since my knowledge was almost zero...So I bought the right one...
Look for a lever action 308 instead.
308 Marlin Express
I think a lever action .357 Mag/38 spl would have different uses from a lever action .308. The .357 in a 20 inch barrel is really accurate and hits a lot harder than from a 4 or 6 inch revolver.
There yah go!
My cousin has one, real happy with it I hear.
that’s probably full retail. stainless adds to the value. as mentioned, this is a rifle in demand by Cowboy Action Shooters (I am one). They are a blast to shoot. It’s always nice to have one caliber for both rifle and pistol.
Anyway, Rossi 92’s have a good reputation in CAS. If you get it, there are some things that you can do to “slick it up.”

“that ammo is hard to find and expensive...”
Must be a Pennsylvania thing. I can’t go into any store in Oregon that sells ammo that doesn’t carry .357. All reasonably priced too:)
