It’s to early to strain my brain. That is quite the introductory sentence though.

In a later update, Intel moved to Windows 7 that did have its value, and plans within the next three years to reduce operating costs 11 million U.S. dollars, but if Intel’s operating expenses in 2009, up to 13.8 billion U.S. dollars of view, this In fact, only a small fraction of savings only.

This reads a like William Faulkner mixed with a dash of Klingon.

I tried IE 7 and later IE8, and in both cases they had bad effects on my system.
IE7 & IE8 work OK if browsing is all you need, but several companies use HTML as a scripting language for their products. (HP scanners older than 3 years comes to mind).
I don’t want to have to buy a new document scanner just because HP doesn’t support their older products. The scanners work just fine with IE6.

At my last contract, I made the mistake of installing IE 7. It completely broke the company’s Java based web apps.

I use an IE6-based browser called Fastbrowser Pro in WinXP.

It has many 3rd-party add-ons, was one of the first tabbed browsers, incorporated MS Agent text2speech.

I use it almost exclusively for FR. Many of the add-on features are no longer available or not compatible with later IE versions.

I did try IE7 and uninstalled it after about 2 days. I did not like it at all.

I have been looking at new pc’s with Win7, but I read that DOS programs and many XP programs are not compatible with Win7.

Since I only do home computing any more, I can’t find a good reason to upgrade to Win7, if I end up losing many of the programs I have been using for the last 10 years.

The WinXP Mode in Win7 is not available in the Home editions. It is only available in the Premium and Ultimate edition.

And I don’t see paying an extra $150 upgrade to run XP under Win7, when I am already running XP now.

I don’t want to have to buy a new document scanner just because HP doesn’t support their older products. The scanners work just fine with IE6.

I eventually changed out my peripherals (scanner, printer, etc.) after upgrading to XP, because many of the old pieces of equipment were incompatible with XP.

I don't want to have to do that again.

And I read that DOS programs and many XP programs are incompatible with Win7.

A new, faster pc would be nice, but I can't find any compelling reasons to upgrade to Win7.
