This is a curious statement. I wonder if Hawaii decided to create electronic records before or after the fire.

And I've never wanted Hawaii to release the original anyway. I just want them to sell and deliver a certified copy of whatever they have to anyone who makes a request to purchase one and submits the Hawaii's standard fee for such a service.

The fire story is untrue. Okubo states that she saw the original records. I don’t know if this is satire or misdirection.
