Seriously, it’s the sworn duty of each congressman to uphold the constitution and warn people if someone has not done enough to prove his/her qualifications. The party chair is also expected to defend his/her party’s dignity.
The desire to sort it out in court after the fact is a sign that something went terribly wrong in the vetting process.
And that something is terribly wrong with each and every one of our congressmen.
